For the sake of sanity, I thought ICANN was going to stay away from allowing similar products? Then again, why would ICANN stay away from money?
We are talking about URDP on one hand because it may infringe on some TM, but since when does the extension get a free pass?
Since when is "tech" not "confusingly similar to" technology just like .mobi was to be its own name space and we see .mobile on the horizon.
The confusion, disruptions, and chaos one causes over the other is going to be huge since we are talking about thousands of names being released. You'll have registries suing registries and meanwhile ICANN will be in their tower counting their money and snickering.
Seriously, ICANN is not doing any institution any justice let alone aiding the consumer.
