I can confirm that this PENDINGDELETE status
on newly dropped domains is bogus. I definitively
catched one myself with a script
(at the classic prime time btw.) and it still looks like
Registrar: KEY-SYSTEMS GMBH
Whois Server: whois.rrpproxy.net
Referral URL:
http://www.key-systems.net
Name Server: NS1.DOMAINDISCOUNT24.NET
Name Server: NS3.KEY-SYSTEMS.NET
Name Server: NS2.KEY-SYSTEMS.NET
Name Server: NS1.KEY-SYSTEMS.NET
Status: PENDINGDELETE
Updated Date: 27-feb-2003
Creation Date: 04-jan-2002
Expiration Date: 04-jan-2003
Netsol even doesn't update the dates in time,
just the Registrar and the nameservers.
It's not in the zone yet.
How does Netsol verify the may-be-immediately-deleted-shortly-after-registration
period? Maybe they keep PENDINGDELETE for that purpose?
