The Earthquake has nothing to do with Democrat or Republican so leave Bush and Obama alone.:argue:

There is a section for these two so don't bark the wrong tree!:deadhorse:

Heard this one on CNN: California is so broke even the earthquakes are moving to the east coast.

This was at least the 4th major (5+) I have been in so I knew what it was. Tens of millions here on the east never have experience one.

And living in such an old house like this and experiencing such a major shake, I did not know what to expect.

First thing I did was grab my phone, run out the door with the dogs, and called my wife.

Honestly, what else can you do in a situation like that.

First I've experienced and frankly it was terrifying. Can only imagine Japan.

3.5 is nothing, 5.6 will get your attention but it's usually forgotten within a day or 2, At least that's the way it is on the west coast. Live through a Tsunami and lose everything like I did and you'll know what a real disaster feels like.

Can only imagine Japan.
I can not imagine that. Saying it was 100 times stronger than Haiti is incredible.

That earthquake and others (Chile, Haiti) that causes the earth to shift it's axis are simply mind boggling.

Next up for the Carolina's and East Coast? Hurricane Irene.

Just upgraded to Cat 3. Now forecast to be in this area as a Cat 4. Just hope it keeps shifting a little (or more) to the right.

I've been watching the outermost clouds of Irene all day today, it's been nice most of the day but you can clearly see the rotation in the clouds. You can also feel a constant gentle breeze going to the south-west.

Tomorrow they're expecting thunderstorms with some wind- I'm surprised we don't even have a tropical storm watch.

The 8am update had her as a Cat3. Max sustained winds are now at 120MpH - just 6MpH shy of being a Cat 4.

... all on the 19th anniversary of Andrew's landfall in Miami, too.

I knew it was only a matter of time before the tinfoil hat crowd comes up with some whacky paranoid conspiracy theory. They showed up like clockwork.
