Dear all

Currently, I have got a client (I have a few) registered today.

The parking page of enom.com was pointed to

http://64.52.181.50
and
http://216.168.60.84

The one on 64.52.181.50 was found to have a reseller

called

411domainregistrar.com which resell domain at $ 9.50! Oh! my god it was such lower than my.

What should I do?

Thanks for advice!

Best regards

It says $9.95 on the home page - but $29.95 (like RJ said) on the pricing page.

I think somebody needs to adjust their PDQ site.

Thanks RJ

I have forgot to log out from my computer since my login into the PDQ, as a result some of the price at the price of may be one of the reselllers. Because I share the computer my friends who also love to register domain (sorry not from me)!

May be he has forget to login from his account!

Problems fixed after I login out from the PDQ!

Sorry again for any inconvenience caused!

Regards

By the way, I still see $9.95! Why?

Is that site eNom's?

Many thanks!

On the home page I see "Registrations start at ONLY $9.95 per year."

I guess that must be their reseller rate. :)

It was easy to change, just click on the tab "sub-account domains" and the click on the domain name that you want to change the forwarding for.

This seems to be totally as legal as ENOM referring people to their pages. Just make the change as soon as you get the notification that a new domain name has been registered.

Thanks PrimeDNR for bringing this to our attention. :D
Hi BigFart

Thanks for your advice. I discovered this because I have only 2-3 domains registered per month! So I pay attention to the parking page each time.

Thats one lame gesture from enom! Is it possible (in your reseller account properties) to set your own parking pages as a default for all new domain registrations? So you dont have to change each one manualy?

Dear all,

I have received an email from enom for this:

>>
This domain name is in the [reseller] account. As the owner of that account, you can change the pointing information any time you like.

Hence, I have to manually change it everytime!

It is OK for me because I resell a few per month (ocassionally).

But it can be a problem for mainstream reseller who don't have its own nameserver.

Regards

We are solving this problem by running our own dedicated server and automaticall inserting our own parking page. This will be implemented within 60 days. We may be able to help some of you eNom resellers do the same. Feel free to contact me and I will see what we can do to accomodate your needs.

Thank you.

Instead of using the parking page, you can just redirect the traffic to somewhere like
www.siteunavailable.com
(It is very simple - no ads ect)
We set this up as a useful catch all for anytime a site isnt ready.
You could redirect to...
www.websitenotfound.com
but only for fun!
To do a redirect at enom....
Doing a redirect at enom…
- Domain names >
- Click on "You have 1 domain names with enom" >
- Click on the domain name >
- Section DNS settings - Click on "Configure" >
- The second column is headed “Record type”, under this you will see a drop down box (row 1) – click on the “down arrow” to see the options. Select “URL Redirect” >
- To the right there is a text box
- Enter the web site address (starting with http…) you want the traffic to be redirected to. (under the “Address” heading) >
- Repeat above 3 instructions for row 2) >
- Click "save changes"
Done!
Hope this helps,
Ian (WF)

You guys are confusing me.

1) Do you think it is time efficient to check every customers parking page? I am not always there when the reg goes thru.
2) Some customers enter paking text. I personallu do not think it is good business to ignore it and point it to my own page

I think ENOM should watch this carefully and never rotate any dom reg ads on its parking pages. I can't believe they featured some reseller on their parking page!

In fact I dont see any traces of such ads right now on my customers parking pages. Do you think they cought themselves with their pants down?
