i have done several transactions with escrow.com ( one is still in process at escrow.com )and many with sedo ( the last one with sedo finished just a few days ago )

i did not mention sedo because it is fast or cheap
because sometimes it can be quite slow and not cheap (if the domain is listed there)

i mentioned sedo as an example of more secure domain escrow services like moniker escrow or escrowdns where the domain name is not transferred/pushed directly from the seller to the buyer, but to the escrow account controlled by the escrow service

i know that acro knew what i was talking about
but most of you probably do not

or you skipped the most important part
and now talking about sedo

i supported acro when he criticized sedo transfer email communication (in the past) that could be abused by scammers and sedo improved it (though not immediately)

now i am suggesting to improve escrow.com
with escrow accounts for 10 - 15 major registrars they would be better

Oh, trust me - Sedo scrambled to fix the obvious and a job well done :D Within 24 hours of my post they stopped sending out emails with transaction details and worked on building a rather effective transaction panel. Sedo listens, as long as the issue at hand is yelled out loud.

I wish scammers finally discover potential of escrow.com for easy scams, because they have no way to verify owners really changed and the fact that some made many transactions there is just because most people are honest. I will probably make some for fun, at the sellers side seems easiest (transfer domain to registrar of buyers choice but my account there, change whois to his and claim it has been transfered)

I've never had a problem using escrow.com
Well I had never car accident does not meen accidents does not happen does it

I never move domains to another registrar as a seller; part of the deal is a push to an account I create with the same registrar. Obviously, you have to screen your buyers first and if [email protected] emails me about a purchase I send him back to where he came from.

Well in that case you do NOT need an Escrow. Escrow.com is NOT a real domain escrow and if someone wants to buy and do not want to do Moniker only escrow.com I reject to sell

I thought you moved your domains away from Moniker.
