Azam.com said:Well I was a bit hurt that somebody wrote "Please all have mercy on my eyes. I had an operation a few months ago." just after my post. I spent two years quietly working for my .eus and would have been nice to hear something more positive. But I suppose not everybody has read Hot to Win Friends and Influence People.
It's fine to talk about TLDs in general - I've done that myself - but one needs to be careful about criticising individuals. And, certainly, its a good idea to comment positively on the previous post or disassociate yourself from it clearly before posting something so blatantly negative.
And agree that join date doesn't mean anything.
P.S. just learnt my team at Doster had managed to grab another six two character .eus for me, so, if you were referring to my domains, hope that makes your eyes cry too.

I do not want to start an argument though. The point of this forum is to buy, sell, trade and chat about domain names. Dvdrip, I look at your history of posts and I must add that all of your comments are negative. Why?
I hope that you will stop and think about your posts the next time you are about to post a negative comment. Alot of these people are just getting into the industry and need constructive criticism to learn. I have been involved in several million dollar domain name transactions and trust me, I know what I am doing. I don't want to aruge with you...just please take my words into consideration.
Thank you,
Justin Godfrey

Whoever registered a domain name must have been thinking about that particular name and then made the decission that this name must be worth the money registering.
Sometimes people ( fellow domainers ) do not "see" the idea behind...coz how do we know what others think?
That does not mean that the name ain´t woth anything... honestly, there are a lot of names sold for big money that make me think "Never, never would I pay that for such c r a p p y name!".
This is one of the reasons why I am not too keen on appraisals, the one point that is never involved is the idea behind getting this name.
As stated before, I pre-registered my first .eu back in early 2002 and just a couple of weeks ago, when I finally had to confirm this pre-registration, I cancelled a lot of them.
A couple of those I got would not get any better appraisals than reg fee - but, they are all related to my company name - even with a hyphen ( yes, I do not mind hyphen, but that is another country related situation, because a lot of German companies actually DO use hyphen ).
If you ask other domainers, please, don´t be disappointed if they say "reg fee".
If you don´t want to hear that, don´t ask.

trader said:Agree, I can't believe how bad many of the names are in this entire thread. It's hard to believe names like mentioned here would be pre-regd as so many are without any value at all or semi-worthless.
P.S. It appears most all the truly good names were taken by places like pool.com and others with last minute trademarks, or multiple connections via multiple semi-fake registrars they setup only for this purpose.
beneluxtrademarks.eu is still available :bounce:trader said:Agree, I can't believe how bad many of the names are in this entire thread. It's hard to believe names like mentioned here would be pre-regd as so many are without any value at all or semi-worthless.

The entire affair was a sham and should never have been permitted to happen by the registry what with their insanely easy Benelux kind of trademarks and new .eu registrar rules.
typeins said:haha i couldnt have said it better myself, most of the eu names ive seen kicked around i wouldnt even spend $7 on if they were .com.
Sure i reged like 3-4 .eu's just to have a couple for the hell of it, but i hardly expect them to be worth anything in the next 10 years lol Some of the prices i have seen thrown around for these names are insane.
