if nobody else backorders the same domain it is awarded directly to you. If there were multiple backorders it goes into auction.

Is it a public auction or just between the persons who had ordered?

Just so you guys know..

Even if it says "Aquired" at Pool it doesn't mean that you got it...

Two of mine say Aquired and the whois reflects someone else.

We spent 14,95 $ for each domain at mydomain.com ;

love.eu
health.eu
lyrics.eu
cameras.eu

and domains like theese but I didn't know that 26,000 domains were registered before 7 April. Now I think that I have no chance to register any of them. Maybe we can catch some typos. We spent just 500$ but we don't think that we can register JUST ONE :)

In my opinion the city names of England may be available to register. But I don't want to waste my time.

I've just received an e-mail from my registrar that the registartion of itally.eu was failed. I think I will receive lots of e-mails like this.

Did you get:

love.eu
health.eu
lyrics.eu
cameras.eu

Very nice...

auction between the people ordered the domain

from pool:
Customers that ordered a .EU domain prior to its acquisition by Pool.com are able to participate in the auction and bid for that domain. All auctions begin with an initial bid of EUR €60 (our standard acquisition fee), made automatically on behalf of the first customer who ordered the domain.
