The name speaks for itself. Registered thru 12/2004.

FLOWERS.ORG :: Flowers.org :: *SOLD*

The search returns for the word "Flowers" are huge - regardless of where you look. Obviously.

Unlike most of my sales - this one is private offer only - and there is no set price. Offers start at $1500 - and nothing less should be submitted please. I would prefer to be contacted by email > [email protected] - because some personal & health issues are keeping me away from much online activity.

If anybody should be interested in a 'buy now' price - just contact me.

Thanks

Thanks Fonz!

OK.... a quick update before I go to bed. (graveyard schedule these days)

2 offers are in. The first (of course) was for $1500 and the second offer raised by $100 - to $1600.

$1600 is where it stands right now.

I will be back this evening. I will answer all new emails or messages then. I have already replied to the emails I have received so far - and given the "buy it now" price to one person - so if anybody else wants the figure - just contact me and I will reply as soon as I wake up..

Thanks. I will be back tonight.

This is the best .org name I've seen on this board other than Gif.org and you own that one too!

Best of luck! This name is HUGE!!! The "business" model for selling flowers over the internet is also HUGE. Most everyone can now conveniently order Mom flowers at work via the internet. Doesn't matter if she lives hundred's of miles away. I really do like the .org with this name.

Best of luck NamePopper!

Heyo guys/gals. Thank you for the kind words.

Well... now I know why all my previous sales were NOT private offer. This is too much. There are at least 10 people that are seriously interested in the name - and many of them have asked for the "buy it now" price. I also have 3 bids of $1700 - 2 bids of $1750 - and 2 bids of $1800 because people don't know what has already been bid. What a mess. My mistake for doing a "private offer" on such a high demand name. It's just too much to keep track of.

With people from different parts of the globe in different time zones - and people having different schedules - there is no way for me to do this "private offer" and keep everybody updated. So please forgive me - and allow me to just start from scratch. It's the only fair thing to do.

Would the people who have bid (or anybody else for that matter) please give me some input on what you think about just doing a live auction that starts now - and ends in 24 hours. The opening bid - reserve - buy it now - prices all listed up front. All bids are made in the thread. Is that ok with everybody?

Since so many people have made private offers - and many are duplicate/same amounts - I am going to withdraw the name and relist for sale later - after I figure out the best method. "Private Offer" was NOT the way to go for this name. It's not fair for others to not see the bids (in real time) - when we are talking about a fairly decent amount of money. So for the moment - the name is no longer open to offers. I need to figure out the best way to make it fair for everybody. I want all interested parties to feel comfortable.

Maybe I could use the new DNFAuction site?

Announcement.

Earlier - I had sent a possible "Buy Now" price scenario to one of the people who had requested it. Well - he has stepped up and offered that full amount now - so I have to give him the first chance to close the deal. I realize that other people have asked for a "Buy Now" price since then - but this person had inquired before the latest requests - so I have to honor the "first come first serve" rule.

I was getting ready to start a regular auction for the name - instead of this crazy private offer stuff - but since this party has contacted me willing to match my price - the name may be sold in a few minutes.

I will never have a private offer sale again. After almost 250 sales under my belt - this was the most confusing and uncomfortable scenario I have ever had. I appreciate all the offers from everybody - and frankly the response to the name overwhelmed me.

After getting multiple offers of the same amount - and emails every 5 minutes - and then trying to sort it all out - I realize now that private offers are not the thing for me. I prefer that all offers and terms be displayed out front in the open. That's the way I have always done it before - and this was a mistake.

The bottom line is this...... the current offer on the table matches the "Buy Now" scenario I sent out to the interested party earlier - and is higher than any other offer on the table. Yes it's true that if I listed that offer - somebody might offer more - and I could possibly make more money. However I don't think that's fair since the interested party replied to my earlier email - and he was the second in line to ask for a "Buy Now" price. I must give him the chance to close the deal. He was the second in line - he has the highest offer - AND it meets the amount I quoted earlier.

I will post SOLD once the deal is done. If for some reason this deal doesn't go thru - then I will be starting a new auction with EVERYTHING listed up front. No "private" stuff.

Thanks!

Byzantine scenarios...

Come on Nick, you sell, then you don't. You ask everyone to PM you if they want the "buy me now" price, then you mass-PM everyone back to go check at the auction.

Then the auction is retracted, but in the wee hours of the night - yeah, I just woke up from a nightmare - the sale is back to the mysterious single recipient of the "buy me now" price.

So much agony for a domain with WHOIS info that was not even in your name when you started the sale ;)
