Duke:

I do not know if this detail helps, but, I am running 800X600 @ 32 bit color quality. The monitor is an old NEC P1150 Multisync running MS IE 6.0…….. I am using a Matrox board, I think is an old 450.

Important (I hope I do not confuse you further) but:

Welcome – At S in Spears
Music – 100% fit!!!!!!!!!!!
Video – At A in Spears
Posters – At Y in Spears
Memorabilia – At R in Spears

Good luck,
William

No, no right/left scrolling needed.

Even if I wanted to try scrolling I could not as the horiz scroll is not there anyway, not sure why. Perhaps if it fits the scroll bar is not displayed, not sure.

That's correct Real. If there is not need to scroll, the bar will not appear.

How can you not confuse me further when you say posters cuts off at the Y in Spears. There is no Y in Spears!! That does it - I'm sending Ali over to kick your ass! :)

Duke sir, I erred.

Posters is at the Y in Britney, not the Y in Spears.

Please call off your enforcer.

TIA

Very well, but I guess you know this means I'll have to bump the vigorish up to 50% on you. :)

You are really good.

Hi Duke,

Site looks great!

I'm looking at it on a 16" (17" ?) monitor at 1024x768.

I've only had a quick look at a few pages, but one I had a small problem with was:

http://www.musicparadise.com/posters/posters_ip.htm

I have to scroll to the right, as it cuts off half the word "email."

Not a big problem, as you can see 99% of everything, but thought you'd like to know.

I'll have a basic site up soon, and will hopefully get some constructive feedback, also.

Hope the site is going well!

Thanks Manic! That's interesting that you only saw the scrolling problem on the one page on a monitor set at standard resolution for its size. That might help me pinpoint a problem. I'll study the code for the tables on that page and see if it differs from the other pages (however on my 17" and the same resolution, I have no scrolling required on any page).

People have been really great with the feedback in this thread. They say you should test a site on as many browsers and configurations as possible for the widest possible compatibility - but that is normally not practical because who has access to dozens of different setups? Well, thanks to the community here - I do!! It has really been helpful.
