What does he have to gain?
The thing is, the number of .mobi names being regged has remained pretty stagnant for quite some time now.
Which and when was the last .mobi name you regged?
.mobi threads are always entertaining. opcorn:
Yep. Reminds me of the .TV evangelists a few years back.
Anybody remember his name:?::?::?::?:
Truly a classic, Vision. --- Exactly, Exactly.vision said:..... Here is an analogy, lets say you are at a fine restaurant sitting with a Pamela Anderson look-a-like and your wife or girlfriend walks in and sees you flirting with the Pamela clone...what happens? Anger, dissing & attacks ensue by aforementioned girlfriend or wife
OK. Now lets say your wife or girlfriend catches you flirting with a Rosie
O'Donnell look-a-like....what happens? Satisfaction. Your wife or girlfriend is happy as a child on Christmas morning.
I bought two .Mobis this week.[B said:sashas[/B]]

Regardless of what people think of .Mobi, most think that all this will change and that the mobile web will become an enormous market. It will take a few years.
You do know that we are in the 21st century now, not the 20th century?I've read all of William Gibson's books and it doesn't happen this century

Yes, you are right:lol:Obviously you have not read any of WG's books then. They are set in mid-21st century.
I suggest that you start with Neuromancer.

The great domains have been claimed or rest in mTLD's vaults, the mobile internet airwaves barely stir. The calm before the storm.
I tend to do a lot of business overseas, and I have noticed there has been a huge influx of billboard advertising in Asia (in particular HK and Macau) and many of the central/south america countries. If you look closely, there will only be 2 extensions-- .com and .net.
I am not saying that they are the only valuable extensions, but I find it interesting that .hk or .br.com or really any other extensions are not advertised that much. I have a lot of doubts even about .asia (although I will be buying some just in case)
.mobi hasn't really got any attention among the worldwide consumer after speaking to some of the local college students, who I always feel have the best info when it comes to tech trends. I am certainly not bashing .mobi, but if you want to make money in todays market, I would think the only way to do it is to flip the domain name and NOT from PPC. You will have a better shot at .com/.net and even .org.
5 or 10 years down the road, who knows. Maybe .mobi will take over the other extensions. Or it will continue to lag. Nobody really knows.
Btw, my favorite mobi by far in Moniker's upcoming auction is Porn.mobi.
Disclaimer, i have nothing to do with porn.mobi..............but wish i did
Are you bidding on it Theo?At least porn.mobi has potential; think of all the Paris Hilton cellphone pictures one could put there.
