I got this message from domaindiscount (after I had slipped 80 domains through 4 registrars.) Note the info in red.
Dear Mr. Elton,

the free 25 .info program is only per registrant and registrar. You did
also order .info domains through one of our resellers in the US: BRS
Media d/b/a idotz.net.
Therefore no free domains are available anymore
through domaindiscount24.com. If you wish to remove the requested
domains from your account then please send us an email. You can also
open a different account with the name of one of your relatives for
example and register another 25 domains.

Have you already pre-registered your multilingual .BIZ, .CC and .TV Domains through our system?

P.S. Now my wife has 25 .info domains. And BTW, idotz.net has a great suggestion tool.

owen from domainsite.com answered this at the bottom of the thread...

http://www.dnforum.com/showthread.php?t=65079

25 at each registrar. but if you come across a reseller situation that might be different, because at affilias they will all fall under the master account.

I am extremely reluctant in ordering names in third party names.

The language by one of the registrars in their warning is that
it is fraud.

I don't mind pushing the envelope. But, I don't want to commit fraud.

Well reading into this a little more, and about 50 .info registrations later, i too am unsure of the rules .. there seems to be no unified opinion.

how can dotster say that you as a customer can get 25 free registrations through THEM but really mean -YOU CAN ONLY BE A DOTSTER CUSTOMER AND NOT USE OTHER REGISTRARS WHO ARE OFFERING THE SAME DEAL?

If the case is otherwise ... I'm saving enough info to combat it (and could easily see a misleading class action).

And the other thing that ticks me off is that Affilias' website makes NO mention to the promotion or outlines any of the rules governing it? One would think that it would atleast make their news and events link?

totally agree..........I notice now at domainsite they are no longer free
wonder why lol..have to buy lots of new servers I bet.

i also think what started to be a great promotional idea, is going to turn into total confusion and here and there some people finding out they are getting a bill and others having names deleted, it seems to be turning into a free for all
and no main authority on the issue.

And exactly why wouldnt the association in charge afilias even mention it, odd it is?

You can also open a different account with the name of one of your relatives for example and register another 25 domains.

So it's okay to fraudulently represent another person?
:-O Can't believe they actually said that!

It will be most interesting to see how this plays out. If a registrar deletes one of your domains, that means they have to keep it for themselves, right? They can't just make it go away, can they? And, either way, who chooses which ones will be deleted? Oh, all my children, see how the world turns!

If I buy a domain using my wife's name and I tell her about it, where's the fraud?
