Your reaction is a bit interesting to me. Last year at my vacation
in Turkey, I spoke with many people regarding their view of Iraq
question.
Almost all of them were naturally afraid of possibillity of a war in close proximity and altough they don't like Saddam, nobody supported American hard solution, especially after last Bush's Senior war, when US failed to reimburese billions of promissed dollars to Turkey for damages done to their economy etc.
From the other side it is very difficult to refuse US requests for
Turkey as they feel they have to constantly prove themselves as valuable NATO partner, being the only member with predominantly islamic population.
I guess they also felt they would ease their EU admission with that move, so in that sense they could possibly be dissapointed
with France and German stand.

4. They would be like slovenia or maximum spain if they dont have colonized countries in africa and south america.

Hmmm... Have you ever been in Slovenia?
Surely one of the most pleasurable countries to live in.
Pretty high living standard, wonderful nature, nice geographic position makes Slovenia much more valuable then many people can think of.
