Thanks Biggie for inspiring me to start this thread. I've learned that Swetha and the early success of the .XYZ Brand is all about the HYPE! While i mentioned in a previous thread my middle name should have been hype....i did just register for my own personal use the domain Hypepreneur:cool:com and along with it Hypepreneur;)link in order to practice what i preach.

While i accumulated about a thousand .LINK domains in the last three weeks, it was this article written by Andred Allemann that really tuned me on to the this extension;

I'm not sure if .xyz (maybe a caboose?) has any sort of a logo, but the "silver chain" for .link is perfect and powerful, and I plan on using it to promote/hype my domains directly to consumers aka "end users". Linkedin is another tool in my tool box. How so you may ask? With over 800M members, and over 300M active members in any given month I'd say the name association alone is pretty damn powerful.

Finally, a good friend and well respected leader in the domain industry just said this to me;

".LINK is not worse than .XYZ." .........any wonder i just registered KingOf.link

Thoughts? Comments? Questions? Thanks

Excuse me.....so insinuating that "hype" was the only way .link might succeed was fake??? I took you seriously Biggie....i'm so sorry. It sounds to me like you don't want to participate constructively in a comparison between .LINK and .XYZ:( Again, i apologize if you were offended. I should be more sensitive.

as an fyi....here's a .LINK domain I just registered and i have hundreds more just like it;

Note this domain was registered by UNR/Uniregistry in April 2014 and it was deleted in July of 2017. So why is this significant? First, UNR actually owned the .link extension then, and this was a way for them to corner the market on a lot of very good domains (not illegal btw), but unethical?....ask Verisign about that:) Next, i wonder why they dropped tens of thousand of otherwise very good domains in 2017? Were they in some sort of trouble? For what?

I was told about a month ago by Vaughn Liley, .LINK's GM, that they were working on a new roll out for .LINK. He also knew that I was accumulating .LINK names, but I should probably chill for a while? At the time I'd accumulated around 200 .link domains, however due to my distrust of most people in this industry, I now own about 1,100 much to the chagrin of Liley and other industry insiders.

It's due to my inquisitive and investigative background that I intend to get to the bottom of all this, and to Vaughn Liley who ignores my emails.....FEAR THE TURTLE!!!

Risk vs. Reward is what this is all about for me.

lot's of popular sites for under 30's with .xyz in name
Haven't noticed many using .link
I never liked Shilling's keywords, I blasted them years ago as junk, then he sold them all to GD for what 80 Million or so, the avg price less than $200, so it was mostly junk

Crypto and NFTS created over a Trillion bucks in new wealth on mostly not .com names
.io
.app
.network

Tron created billions on tron.network

My company just launched a huge project on .network
We did a ton of crypto last year on .app

We always liked .net and .org for development

A coupld of biggest projects are on .org

We just did a big project on a .foundation

We had some stuff on .fund

We like .exchange and .trade

Never really looked at .link, but to me it seemed okay for a SEO project, links drive that industry

Good luck with your .link's

Any major keyword is valuable in most new TLD's

Like you said earlier, it's mostly about the "HYPE". I really don't trust anyone in this industry, especially the likes of GD and Schilling. I see your point about SEO and .link and i intend to register more names around the SEO theme. I also plan to use my association with Linkedin to promote .link How so? I don't know yet, but maybe it'll come to me via my Visualization.link;) Thanks and Good Luck to you too!

just sharing a .link vs .xyz vs .com story. A few days ago a domainer from another message board posted that he'd just purchased Whiskies.com and was asking for opinions about his purchase and here is what I said;
Depending how much you paid, it could be a very good investment. Especially since Whisky without the "e" sold for 3.1M seven years ago. I own WhiskyFocus.com and just purchased Whiskies.link for a whopping 2.19.

I guess you know the difference between Whisky and Whiskey, however I believe the the plural for each is Whiskies:xf.wink: A neighbor of mine is an official Whisky Ambassador from Glasgow and I've developed a business model/plan around his taste and expertise.

Finally, i just noticed that SAW has whiskies.xyz for sale for $8,600, and since ".LINK is no worse than .XYZ" according one of the most respected domainers in the world, i guess owning Whiskies.link is a risk worth taking.

Thanks...and best of luck to you!
