I also agree with the other statements, we're all giving this Nazi freak exactly what he wants.
I am not thinking in the lines of a manufacturer. GM made tanks. Boeing made bombers. VW made Hitler's car.

SS perhaps can never be anything else then the negativity associated with it.

Think of historical connotations for the words Sodom and Gomorrah, Lucifer, and so on. Over centuries these still have bad karma and such associated with them and always well.

Reason being, that is what we are taught and schooled on. Can KKK ever fully be appreciated as something significant other than the first thing that comes to mind?

No.

And I would think that 100 years from now that SS will still have the same meaning and significance. I believe there will always be a certain element of the neo-Nazi types that revere the swastika and the SS lightning bold graphic. It's a rallying point for those that want to belong to something.

Other than VW, the only other one I know of for sure is Hugo Boss, and I think that was already mentioned here. Toss IBM in there as well, unexpected that one.

.mobi sucks monkey butttttttt!

lol, I had to :eek:k:

So, anyways I LOVE the way you guys can dig up info...it's great...we should start our own detective agency as I sincerely believe there is nothing we can't pick apart and figure out with all our heads combined. I love DNF and I love you guys, yes even JP.

Unless this dork is some drug cartel leader or won the lottery or something I do not see this deal actually going through....that's my official call on it!

Once again at the bottom, roughly a hundred posts later in just a day!

This time, I actually had time to read the posts in detail. Last night I was just skimming the first few lines of each...as others have said, this is quite a long thread. Hence, I got the wrong idea about Seraphim's comments. I have already apologized to him privately, and now do so publicly.

I'm not sure if you all caught this, but there was a post by the seller, tm3500 I believe, that this domain is indeed under contract and off the market. I don't think there is any reason to suggest that Geaney is not the buyer for the indicated price.

We've all seen his photo now; definitely the terrorist look. What people are not realizing is that he is probably just being used as a front. The money is obviously not his. From his photo and website, he looks like someone that has been recruited by some wealthy powerful terrorist/racist backers. If he was gullible enough to be recruited by these people, then he is stupid enough to start blurting it out before the sale is even completed.

I still maintain that if this sale is consummated, the domain will not be used for good purposes. The buyers behind Geaney knew exactly what they wanted and why. Which goes back to my original argument, that SS will never be fully divorced from its historical context. On the bright side, Australia is very good at prosecuting things like this, but unfortunately the domain will likely be quickly flipped to some dark corner of the world.

If this was a genuine sale, then the 'buyer' would not reveal their hand (bearing in mind their implied, proposed usage) prior to gaining control of it. They simply wouldn't do anything that could scupper the deal.

This deal is not genuine.

Jasdon, we'll see. I hope you're absolutely right. But remember, the "buyers" needed to go through Geaney, or they would not have gotten it, likely because they are a recognized terrorist organization. They probably didn't figure on Geaney publicizing like he has. The recruits of the Nazis weren't the most intelligent people either;)

Am I understanding right? Why would another potential buyer need to go through geaney? He states on his bs press release he hasn't signed the contract. If I were an interested buyer, the last person I'd contact is that dumb ***. I'd contact tm3500 or the whois record which is dn-capital.

I read somewhere that he picked up the geaney name on a drop and that the previous registrant is pissed.

Easy, go to the whois record and contact through there, or send a pm to tm3500. Or, go to ss.com and click the link for the "newsletter." You'll receive an email from [email protected]. Reply to that. When you click the confirmation link, it takes you to www.aweber.com site. Go to each of those whois records and make contact there. See who's hosting it and ask thm to make contact on your behalf. Lastly, go to the waaayback machine and see if there are any archives. It's really not all that difficult if you really want to contact somebody. I've yet to find a domain where I haven't been able to at least send a message to the owner AND get a reply.

Oh yeah, and I'd write a check ;-)!
