I guess it has to do with having so many users, especially during drop hours, it used to lag, and such. Worst case scenario since most are VIP members, godaddy could give them at least a 60 minute limit before logout.

I agree completely. I only use them when I have to, such as exclusive auctions.

I made a huge mistake and bought their "pro reseller" package, on the promise that I could buy domains and Godaddy products cheaper. Everything is the same price or more than my other Godaddy accounts, so I'm considering filing a chargeback if they don't refund me on that.

To be honest, the whole website is a poor user experience. It's not just about fixing that timeout.

Too many clicks involved, javascript, ajax the UI is slow to load. Non-intuitive, bloated interface (you still can't set default name servers ? I always have to log in to set name servers on names won at the auctions).
Everything is just too slow and takes too much time.
It was never built with accessibility, usability and productivity in mind.
Basically the opposite of Dynadot.

Fortunately I only use Go.daddy for acquisitions then I transfer away.

Stop whining, have a look at the competing registrars :)
