Don't worry....I'll help you. I'll resend the key gen and I will also send you the site's PSD files...and I'll even send you my phone number in case you have any questions.

That's a guy with nothing to hide. Great work TopNames!

Well, it's funny...after I sent the replacement file (I failed to include a .dat file in the original sale, but I was never made aware of this until today because the 1st buyer never tried to use the key gen until after the site was sold a 2nd time), I got this email:

--------------------------------------------

"An appology for wasting half my day (and other peoples time) was
expected; This is because you refused to help me solve a problem you
caused by sending the wrong file in the first place! Now making out
that it was Dogstar's/my fault and how great you are that you're
providing me "buyer 2" with support, what a joke, and that stupid
thread you started for a private transaction, very professional!

I don't call re-sending a file for the product you sold (when you sent
the wrong file in the first place) support!
As it stands, I will never do business with you again! It was
horrible! The worst deal I EVER had!
Dogstar was Very supportive though!
But thanks for the PSD files, that was very clever of you :) I'm
quiet now"

--------------------------------------------
"and that stupid thread you started for a private transaction, very professional" - I never even mentioned his name, dogstar or the site...I thought I was being professional asking for other opinions without revealing anyone user names.

Is this guy nuts or what? He won't do business with me anymore even though I didn't do business with him in the first place...but I still help him and I get abused...Go figure. "The worst deal he ever had" and he did the deal with someone else...not to mention that I solved the problem within a few hours of gettnig his email....I would think that shows that I care about helping people...not to mention I could have screwed dogstar and sold the site to someone else after I got an offer for twice the amount I sold the site to her for.... :-O

Look what my great work got me. I feel raped :undecided

You would think he would be thankful that I helped and even gave him the PSD files in case he wanted to change the site.

It's OK...life's too short to be worried about people like this.

you were made aware of a missing/corrupt file in my first message to you!!! this was after having corresponded with Dogstar back and forth several times trying to find out why neither of us could get the software to work. You refused to help either of us; especially me!
and you bribed me by saying that I should post something nice about you and how helpful you have been for the PSD files!!! that is funny!
you have twisted this whole situation

i am glad it's over

and i have bought two domains from you before!

Buyer 1 needs to either do the support or refund the $ IMO. She probably should not have sold it unless she also knew how to run it at the time.
Although this would be the case in the average situation, B2 knew the situation at the time.

What a lucky break for B1 though, doubling their money almost instantly.

Yes...today...and I said I would check as soon as I got home...which I did and when I realized I missed a file I sent it right out. It's not my fault Dogstar never tested the key gen. What...you never made a mistake? I don't understand what you're acting like an ass. I helped you get everything working for a product you didn't buy from me within a few hours and you attack me.

You refused to help either of us; especially me!
Not true...I could not be sure what files I sent because I was at work and I would check when I got home...like I said before.

I asked you to say something nice because I felt you were damaging my reputation. I have never ripped anyone off and I never will. I could have sold the site out from under Dogstar and doubled my money...but I didn't did I? I think that shows my moral fiber.

It would be funny if the software could be disabled from the sourcecode :)

The "real" members in this forum stick together. All Topnames was doing was asking for advice. The fact that he even took his time and energy to make a post is quite admirable.

He just wanted to do "the right thing".

Where is buyer #1 at thru all of this?

What's the problem.

You bought the site from someone else, ITS NOT HIS PROBLEM.

He is a nice guy, and HAS helped you, refused the money for his support, etc.

Such rants as the one posted above aren't appreciated here, especially because of the situation.

Ken and I have done deals before and he was a pleasure to deal with.

Sorry you had to go through with all this Ken.

- 2 cents -

Thanks for the support. :)

I promised this guy a resolution by 5:30PM and by 5:30PM he had a working copy of his software. The funny thing is, everytime I really try and be extra nice to someone, they screw me over.

The domain world is a small world & revenge is best served cold.

alrighty....interesting read...now all we need are people yelling JERRY! JERRY!!!

In all seriousness, I know Ken is 100% class, and some of you are treating him like crap. Ken doesnt deserve this, he should walk away from this and let you figure it out for yourselves. He went beyond the call of duty and is now getting yelled at???

Ken, you are really too good for all this, it isnt your problem and I am sure all the experianced members here know that you are a class act....

- at 4:24PM I send you a workign copy of the software
- at 5:33PM you send me that email

Thanks for all the support guys. I'm actually amused by this now. People are funny.

I should link a free copy of the software for all to download....but that would not be nice.

Maybe I'll just have the developer rebrand the software under a different domain name and sell it here...yea...that's the ticket.

IMO buyer #1 should not be selling (reselling/flipping) a website unless she knows how to us it and is sure it works well for buyer #2.

TopNames has gone far beyond what should be expected of him and now he seems to be getting flamed about it all. Plus, he never mentioned the identities involved at the start of the thread, the buyer volunteered that information.

That has happened to me already at 2 of the forum boards. After I paid good money for the ownership rights to a software program a short time later links were posted for its free use by anyone, (making sales real difficult and my purchase of the code a bad investment) by a few earlier retail level buyers.
