Politically? So you didn't grasp it was just marketing? They got you.
If any site got booted because of ToS now, it'd be Parler for hosting misinformation, etc. (I'm unsure why GAB moved on, but that would've been the best example refuting yours, but any one will really do when it comes to the NRA so I would suggest picking another).
Epik boots sites just like any other company that violates the TOS.
You're showing me a gun lobbying group with millions/billions of dollars behind them and with 4.3 million members. Now, let's assume the working class/business owners (as in the doers) lean right, how many of the 4.3 are business members that have a domain with GoDaddy and possibly even hosting? Cancellations overnight.
After the Bud Light fiasco, we know what would happen to $GDDY if they booted the NRA. As said, they would lose customers and have such negative media coverage that they probably couldn't come back and domainers would be their only customers.
The NRA is the worst example you could have ever provided as an example.
I mean, of small business owners,
39% of them lean Republican while 22% lean Democrat. Do you want to see the biggest exodus of a domain registrar? Have GoDaddy kick NRA off.
I don't think you grasp how much power the NRA has over where they belong; I mean, they have Senators and Congressmen on speed dial that also have the corporations that actually own GoDaddy (Vanguard and BlackRock at 15% institutional ownership) on speed dial to get things into immediate mediation.
You would see crony capitalism and champaign socialism in full swing if there was an uproar about GoDaddy having NRA as a registrar.
They're not getting booted off GoDaddy because the corporations that own GoDaddy get special favors for not letting that happen (and conspiratorially drawing the attention away from anyone to make a fuss about that anyhow).
