A smart person asks questions or at least can question some things objectively, while an idiot reads and takes everything at face value.

Agreed.

I'm permanently banned from providing any input there and refuse to give them any traffic, even if the pages are freely viewable to guests, because of that.

So, you'll have to copy and paste each point over here, or I'm going to just assume your entire post is just one big lie to smear a "right-wing" company, whatever you meant by "right-wing". #happypride from a right-wing conservative!

Not really... I've pointed you to proof to support my claims. If you don't want to check that out for personal reasons... That's on you.

You could also check Twitter, domain gang, whatever you feel comfortable with. It's covered in most tech/industry related venues by now.

I mean, just check epiks own twitter... Epik itself posts about the shenanigans they've been pulling off.

Bottom line... get out while you can, preferably before the 22nd as it's unsure Icann will stand for the registrar transfer to a newly created (anonymously owned )LLC.

Not that they'll stay anonymous forever. We'll know in a couple of months.

Which doesn't change the fact that what you're asking for is there for you to read. Copying and pasting the same stuff doesn't change anything.
It does change everything. The content is now on this site for me to freely read and reply to. The original author can then come here and reply to my critique, or not.

It's about the principle behind it.

Assuming CPM is $7 and that's a 300 page thread that I'd have to read -- but not be able to participate in -- I would be giving a company $2.10 that clearly doesn't want me there. Why would I do that?

Copy and paste it here or I'll consider it all lies. It's as easy as that.
And I listed multiple places, not just the forum.
List those places then. I'd be glad to objectively look at the material if I could interact with it, if it's set up in such a way.
Start using the Number 1 domain registrar—Epik—today!
I still believe that; Epik is under new ownership. Why would new ownership change my mind? When Uniregistry opened, we didn't question that it was new... we hopped on it because of who owned it at the time.
Which is a little crazy at this point. Rob made you mod/admin of this forum when Epik/Rob owned it, so obviously you're going to have some loyalty to them. Reread my last post, they're admitting themselves they have issues, that you think doesn't exist. Is Epik lying?
I was the Director of DNForum, yes. However, I am not anymore. Therefore, I have no loyalty to this forum because I don't know its owner. I just know this is a medium in which I am welcome and can express myself, and question the questionable freely.

It's definitely not anonymously owned.

It has a registered agent if you didn't bother to look.

Again, you're free to reply at all the other places it's being talked about, Twitter, blogs etc.

"Copy and paste it here or I'll consider it all lies. It's as easy as that."

Reality doesn't care if you consider it or not. You can go and copy and paste yourself and bring it over here if you want. And I did list those places multiple times now, you just refuse to read it. And what would you post at NP anyway? Would you tell everybody they're all lying? That their experiences, screenshots and receipts posted are all fake? Would you go to TrustPilot and tell those people they're all lying? Would you go to Epik's official Twitter account and say they're lying?

There is nothing you can possibly post that changes multiple people talking about multiple issues at multiple places. And again, what you keep skipping over, Epik themselves acknowledge all the issues.

Just out of curiosity, do you still believe you sig? That Epik is the #1 registrar?

Yes, NWRA to be exact. Don't think I have to explain how a registered agent works...

Good luck checking who's behind Epik LLC at this point.

The point of a registered agent is to remain anonymous David.
I'm not sure this is correct. A registered agent is mandatory in some jurisdictions as a kind of "point of contact", especially for all legal, filling and state-related matters.

You are thinking more along the line of a "nominee", which the registered agent can sometimes act as.

Unless I am extended the ability to ask questions of accusations that I find questionable, why read them?
A forum is a place to participate. If the participation is denied, then it's just text to read.
A smart person asks questions or at least can question some things objectively, while an idiot reads and takes everything at face value.
I probably don't like NP more than you. The fact you are banned is a shame. It doesn't however allow you to just dismiss reality. A smart person actually reads first and eventually asks questions after, if needed. You're just using the fact you can't participate as a lame excuse, here.

This is exactly what it looks like (not even entering in the potential copyright issues) :
you'll have to copy and paste each point over here, or I'm going to just assume your entire post is just one big lie

And as you say it yourself:
the bias speaks on your behalf

People are still complaining renewals are not working.

Doubtful they can come into compliance.

I don't think you fully comprehend why I wouldn't do that, but here's the quote to point out the obvious again.

Yes. Otherwise, I would have removed it by now. Epik still has greatness ahead.

I'm politically aligned with them, as no other registrar is behind my beliefs by the looks of it. Even GoDaddy couldn't stand up to the woke mob... but, they are a publicly traded company, and we all know who really has control there.

Updated Date: 2023-06-07T08:06:04Z
Creation Date: 2019-06-13T22:42:58Z
Registry Expiry Date: 2024-06-13T22:42:58Z
Registrar: Epik Inc.

Either doing it to stir stuff up and have nothing to lose by doing so, or their payment method is out of date.

This was my latest automatic renewal, and as you can see, it went through just fine.

Doesn't look like I'm missing any reality, but a lot of stories I could poke holes into...

...if I could participate.
You're just using the fact you can't participate as a lame excuse, here.

Lame that I can't show that renewals are going through to a wider audience to calm people down from transferring out, costing them unnecessary fees; as also we know*, if an accredited registrar goes down, another takes its place and you still own that domain with the same expiration date. So, why get scared and transfer out, essentially paying for an early renewal (unless there's an awesome transfer coupon)?

*Maybe you don't know, but now you do... do some research into previous revocations if you don't believe me and see who took over the registrants. There's nothing to fear either way. Homework done for you:
This is exactly what it looks like (not even entering in the potential copyright issues) :
It shouldn't be a problem if this is a platform. The other way you could do it is to put a creative spin on it,
Example: Alex said, "full quote". I tend to believe him, because he is well-known in the community.

I wouldn't anticipate NP putting in DMCA requests if you did it that way as it wouldn't break any copyright laws then.

However, DNF is now the owner of my content. Though, I am expressing to DNF that I am fine with anyone taking my content in full to disseminate it to a wider audience however they see fit (or not as they clearly are not in support of the registrar and would like to see it burn). So, feel free to copy/paste my renewal that went through fine to those having troubles (probably want to redact my name so it doesn't get deleted by the mods there), and ask the obvious of whether their credit card on file was up to date, they had enough store credit, or their Masterbucks is pumped to renew it (unsure about using PayPal).

Politically? So you didn't grasp it was just marketing? They got you.

Epik boots sites just like any other company that violates the TOS.

I remember when there was this big thread about GoDaddy booting some site because Epik fans said it was because of guns, when it actually was a TOS violation. Guess where the biggest gun group has their domain? GoDaddy

"but a lot of stories I could poke holes into..."

I count 0. Which stories have you poked holes into?

Same question. You think all the people are lying? Screenshots/receipts posted are fake? All the TrustPilot reviews fake? Is Epik themselves lying about all the issues?

If any site got booted because of ToS now, it'd be Parler for hosting misinformation, etc. (I'm unsure why GAB moved on, but that would've been the best example refuting yours, but any one will really do when it comes to the NRA so I would suggest picking another).

You're showing me a gun lobbying group with millions/billions of dollars behind them and with 4.3 million members. Now, let's assume the working class/business owners (as in the doers) lean right, how many of the 4.3 are business members that have a domain with GoDaddy and possibly even hosting? Cancellations overnight.

After the Bud Light fiasco, we know what would happen to $GDDY if they booted the NRA. As said, they would lose customers and have such negative media coverage that they probably couldn't come back and domainers would be their only customers.

The NRA is the worst example you could have ever provided as an example.

I mean, of small business owners, 39% of them lean Republican while 22% lean Democrat. Do you want to see the biggest exodus of a domain registrar? Have GoDaddy kick NRA off.

I don't think you grasp how much power the NRA has over where they belong; I mean, they have Senators and Congressmen on speed dial that also have the corporations that actually own GoDaddy (Vanguard and BlackRock at 15% institutional ownership) on speed dial to get things into immediate mediation.

1686167129416.png

You would see crony capitalism and champaign socialism in full swing if there was an uproar about GoDaddy having NRA as a registrar.

They're not getting booted off GoDaddy because the corporations that own GoDaddy get special favors for not letting that happen (and conspiratorially drawing the attention away from anyone to make a fuss about that anyhow).

I'm not visiting the site to see, but, obviously one if you can count correctly.
You showing yours went thru doesn't discount all the other issues. The issues you keep dodging. So you're still at 0. I'm not seeing you hop on Twitter poking holes on the issues people are posting.

I'm not dodging any because they're not right here in front of me to argue.

You can't take a point away because I didn't address a 2nd issue. I addressed one which was valid for me. Have the person that couldn't renew come forward and I'll walk them through a renewal. If they still can't renew after that (to even using my credit card), then you can take the point away...

Also on the NRA front, you forget that the original owner of GoDaddy was Bob Parsons, a Marine. He also happens to be an NRA member. It's likely that the NRA found a home before any controversy behind it could come up. However, I'll revert back to the NRA having so much power (fiscally and politically) that they're not going anywhere in my big schpiel about 40% of business owners leaning right (likely more because some Democrats also believe in gun rights). Furthermore, a business picks a registrar, a registrar doesn't pick its customers (unless they violate terms and are kicked off).
