It's my opinion, If you want to listen to a lot of noise with no talent, knock yourself out.

maybe raider could tell us what she likes so we can criticize it.

If anyone is looking for entertainment, the Metallica documentary, "Some Kind of Monster", is an engrossing and sometimes funny way to spend a couple of hours.

As far as metal is concerned I like Metallica pre black album and their newest, Death Magnetic. Megadeth, Sodom, Slayer, Anthrax, Exodus are just a few I liked in the 80's.
I can't stand Death Metal though.

Raider, I'm right there politically with you, but give some credit where it's due. There is (or was) definitely some quality metal. Of course, it depends on what you consider to be metal. Out of curiousity, what sort of music do you listen to, if any?

Anyway, back on subject. Most any quality music works for me. The keywords there are quality & music. Listening to Enya right now. Anything from Twisted Sister to Tori Amos. This year have seen: The Who (Pete & Roger are still with us), REO Rpeedwagon (Still rocking!), Styx, 38 Special, Rush (Always great!!!!!). Might go see Neil Diamond tommorow night (Defiinitely not metal, but *awesome* voice/music). Haven't decided yet. Bankatlantic Center has crappy acoustics.

No,"hip hop" or "rap" do not qualify as music to me. Rap and artist should not be in the same sentence. :)

The list is long of the stuff I will listen to though as metal goes. Dio, Sabbath, Twisted Sister, Poison, Cinderella, Tesla (is that considered metal?), Slaughter ....... my memory is not the best..

Yes, as long as you can appreciate it. Absolutely agreed.
