Joe reinstatement?

Joe, a banned DNForum member, has asked to be reinstated. Since I'm not aware of Joe's infractions I'm putting it to a vote of the DNForum membership. If 2/3 of the membership votes to allow him back, he will be unbanned. Otherwise the members have spoken. Joe has agreed to putting this to a vote. You have 3 days to cast your vote.

If I give anyone my best advice, that is to buy haha domains.

I voted YES. We should let Joe in.

I remember some of his comments and they were absolutely wonderful. What some interpret as nutty, I interpret as charming. He is a great addition to our community. For example, he once registered domainslut.com and pointed it here (funny).

I would also suggest making it a majority vote instead of a 2/3 vote. Why 2/3?

This what I told Joe.

The reason I say 2/3 is because say the vote was 200 for and 199 against, I would have almost 1/2 the members pissed off.

There's always the ignore option for people who just do not want to read joes opinion. I have not had much to do with him but have seen some of the stuff on the other boards and yes he is quite out there.

If he does get back in people need to understand that he doesn't distinguish public from private when they enter into correspondence with him and that he may not change his strong yet interesting viewpoints anytime soon.

Either way I put my vote in.

Good job Greg. Short and Sweet. That's all that needed. Some of these comments are getting carried away. It almost sounds like they are trying to intimidate you--the owner of the site--into catering to them--as if they are ther only quality people on the board. That's just wrong--and I resent it. I have been here for a little while now--and haven't had a problem with anybody--but I don't like the tone of these latest comments.

I will agree--after reading some of the posts that people have showed from Joe--that he is a little different--but where is the real harm? Should we only allow members who act alike--and talk alike?

I am starting to think Joe may have gotten the best of these people--and now they are trying to gang up on him. Something is definately off here--and I believe that Joe is the lesser of the two evils we are confronted with.
