Did not read the articles since they are attached files which need to be opened and I rarely if ever open files for security reasons.

Anyway, I have 3 names at Registerfly and worried as am unable to unlock them or get auth codes. Nothing happens when clicking the locked stats link. Find nothing on the site about the auth codes. Plus some areas of their website are not functioning and the site itself has an expired security certificate so my IE7 does not even want me to access the site.

Anyone know what can be done?

We will see more of this in the future. Domaining is a relatively unprofessional and unregulated industry. A lot of companies are probably being run by people who are totally unqualified to run a business. Don't be surprised as the smaller ones drop off. Be skeptical when you see offers and promotions that seem too good to be true. Sometimes there is a reason to go with the highest quality, even if it costs you a little more.

As of right now there is nothing that can be done. One attachment is a pdf file of a letter from registerfly terminating employment with Kevin Medina, former CEO and co-founder of Regfly.

The second is a civil suit against Kevin Medina by Unifiednames, aka regfly, detailing why they terminated him and what he spent the money on.

He is the president of regfly. I have his number, because I bugged regfly so much that they give me the contact of his president to talk. Of course, at the end I get all my names back at regfly, then transferfly them all out -.-V

Personal escort, penthouse in miami, credit card bills, liposuction and other personal expendings.. every partner's nightmare.

According to this they had 200,000 reserved domains for their customers on December 2006 and 75,000 were lost

I dont think one man can freeze the company for $100K in expenses. If you read the articles it says they always keep a $1 Million dollar balance for registrations. Which means they have more than that in assets.

I think they are making up the tech stuff for these reasons:

- Put pressure on the table so Kevin gets fired
- Avoid data leak by recovering the laptop and papers.
- Recover the lost $$ from Kevin and prevent him to withdraw whatever money is left in RF accounts.
- Avoid loosing most of their customers by preventing transfers
- Avoid sabotage by preventing DNS changes

They should restore the tech part back to normal, apologize with customers, let them go if they want, take kevin to fed court and try to clean their image for the next years.

Die Regfly!

Years ago in answer to questions on problems by the forum members, Regfly replied that "frankly, they didn't give a damn". They denied even knowing about the forums and at the same time framed the sites on their portal to gain from the association.

I'm wondering how ICANNT plans to deal with them? Oh that's right, ICANNT doesn't deal with bad registrars, other than giving them accredations that mean absolutely nothing.

Shit man I knew I should have got out sooner, hope I don't lose my domains there. If we can't secure the domains what's the most likely option? I feel sorry for guys who have established domains still with them...
