When caught red-handed, making up stuff does not work. Good catch, Cartoonz. Not to mention, I'm about to start wondering if Scoopdns knowingly bought those beauties cheap.

That thought crossed my mind also.

How exactly were the domains stolen in the first place ? --- What method did the "criminal" use ?

i bought fewa.com raky.com tiby.com ajal.com aleb.com aleg.com for 2030 USD, since i have never had any problems with user "crimea" before (bought a few ccc.com´s over the years) why would i suspect something? i got a pm from him offering me names, and since he knew i was looking i did not see anything wrong with it....check my itrader ratings...i have never done anything wrong in this forum....why start throwing things at me? acro? what did you mean with that? that i would be a part of some kind of scam? i have been refunded and spoken to the namepursuit guy, everything is fine...i dont see why you try to put guilt on me?

Well, you had no idea. Crimea had no idea. His buddy did it - only he "thought" his buddy are buddies with NamePursuit.com

So some obscure guy on a Russian forum "did it". The only sure thing is that these domains belong to NamePursuit.com and since they got them back they are the only ones that didn't get damaged.

As for who is responsible for this: apparently, the proverbial dog who ate the homework.

I was the last person in this chain, somebody stole it, sold it to another guy that then sold it to me, who is records where in the sellers name (read : crimea) which i of c checked before i paid the names, honestly acro, do u think 2030 is such a suspicious price for these 5 domains since i bought them in bulk and paid instantly? I´m aware that it is a good price but i have seen even better deals in here...

I was not directly putting guilt on you...was just saying that the same crossed my mind initially as did the other guy...nothing personal, as I don't know you .... the "Kidnapped" names may have "changed hands" quickly (a virtual laundering) between the initial culprit and "Crimea"

Wonder what criminal penalties would be applied if a case like this was prosecuted via law enforcement & court ??? (certainly might be a tough one to crack with respect to international jurisdiction issues)

I hear ya !

When the Domain Game Movie finally comes out (with updates on happenings since the book was published)....this "scene" could surely resemble the ole Who's On First -- What's On Second routine by Abbott & Costello

Ok hold the fort, a guy is caught with several stolen names, says it wasnt me it was a friend of the owner ( not true ), he obviously bought them dirt cheap, offers to push all names first ( two HUGE red flags of a theif or guy who KNOWS theyre stolen ) and he gives a refund and all is ok?

Please. I dont think at this point there isnt evidence he was the theif, I think there's no evidence he is innocent.

I quoted direct evidence in my last post... all this carrying on about "friend did it" and other squirming is pathetic.

Dude answered directly that the name was at name pursuit because -
""well, that's because I asked my partner to move it there for sell.
but nobody was interested in buiyng, so now I selling it here

ok, now amount of squirming, lying, or further BS is going to get you out of that statement, Mr. Thief - because it is an outright lie. Nothing you say now can fix it.

You are busted.

There is one mistake in your super post:
I didn't steal them.

Also, as I said, I told this story, just because I used to believe the real thief.

I think, administrators can close this thread.

Domains are in the panel of it's real owner.
I paid 1400$ for the scammer.
I made money back of 2030$ to Scoopdns.

You can terminated my account here, because, I think nobody believe me ever, that's.
The main thing is what I feel, and know, that's I made a mistake, but I didn't steal them.

Goodluck everybody.
I leave the thread.

I can tell you that on the Russian forum it all looks like what Crimea is stating. I cannot say though whether the account of morris there is not run by the same person (Crimea), this would need to be checked by the owner of domenforum.net. The morris guy who sold the domains to Crimea registered on the forum in April, so if it is really a scam by Crimea, then it was long planned. Tbh, I don't think so. (btw, you can translate the forum with Google Translate if you don't read Russian)

would also like to add that "Crimea" , whose real name is Ilya, called me on my cellphone early in the morning when all of this was revealed, he seemed as shocked as me and told me that i would not have to worry cause he would refund me my money instantly...

The owner of NamePursuit is also Russian, perhaps he could shed some light into this, although I'm sure he would not disclose anything that'd jeopardize Moniker's claim to account integrity; however, these domains were clearly stolen from one Moniker account and moved into another.

April is not so long ago :)

Setting up another account and making them the fall guy whould you get caught is just slightly above not having a plan at all. Sorry but his willingness to buy bulk names at below reseller pricing and flip for under reseller pricing is a sign someone knows they are doing wrong, sorry but good bye!

what part of his response to "Why is the name listed at NamePursuit?" are you guys not seeing?
well, that's because I asked my partner to move it there for sell.
but nobody was interested in buiyng, so now I selling it here

Look, had he "bought" the names from someone else, he would not have an answer. But instead, he completely lied and tried to make it sound like HE had put them there... no innocent party would make up an answer like that. The names were listed at NamePursuit all along because NamePursuit owned them. This isn't Rocket Science.
