01Dec07 update: 2972 left.
The Directi sale of .IN for less than $4 for the first year has taken a large chunk out of the LLL.in population.
We had over 6000 LLL.in left three days ago. My scan today showed 5015 LLL.in. As the sale continues through December 31, 2007, it's becoming increasingly likely that a buyout will occur --- though it probably will only last one year (when renewals at the normal, higher rate are due).
Combinations including the letters:
ABCDEFGHILMNOPRST have been completely regged since March 2007. (min reseller price seems to be $25-$30 for these).
ABCDEFGHIKLMNOPRSTU have been completely regged as of a few days ago (17Oct07).
I would appreciate updates from anyone scanning LLL.in or those with other news. I'll plan to update the thread with the latest numbers too.
Here's a listing of the LLL.in currently unregistered:

It'll be interesting to see how things go -- and where the LLL.in price stabilizes. In any case, it looks like Directi will emerge as a major player in the Indian domain market.
Though the .in cctld registry is fairly liberal, I would highly-recommend that domainers carefully research and plan before investing in .in. If you do not have a plan, you will lose money!
