I believe that he's truly remorseful. I feel bad for him. However, it's too late. ... WAY too late.

Don't go and kill yourself, there are worse things then getting banned from a forum. Just stay on the right track from now on, fully fess up, and try and right the wrongs.

This was one of those threads that was best left to let the people decide the fate of the user.

Well done all that contributed.

I for one say let GG make things right, and then let it go as he did learn some thing here. He is a teen and did learn some thing, my guess is his mom may have been replying for him. And yes he is worried about his friends photos, that is what worrys teens most you know.

I for one can forgive him, and will delete the full size photos I got. If we can not forgive a teen for such things, then we are worst then they are as we know better. He needs to see that adults are not all bad, I"m guessing here but he seems to have a troubled family life.

From what I have read, he and his family come from china in 2002 or 2003. GG if you read this, you need to make 110% sure you make things right here. It's not so much your dad, he will keep being the way he is and you know that. It's about you, not playing with people like this. Not everyone is bad, and you should treat others as you would want them to treat you.

We should be helping this troubled teen, not getting hot headed and reinforce what he did was right to him self. We got him and everyone knows it, now it's time to let him save grace, and show him doing the right things always pays off, even if you do it late in the game.

GG if you read this, and need help to right everything you done. You can shoot me a email, and most likely others here would be willing to help with that. [email protected]

The moral of the story: If you're going to steal a domain, make sure that the Legendary JP wasn't also trying to acquire it.

I want to know why there are people saying "he was a teenager, let it go and give him another chance". Teenagers are not stupid...okay, SOME are, but teenagers in the computer world generally aren't and they know what stealing and lying are and that they are both wrong to do. Even if we are to believe the whole huge non-apology "woe is me" post (because we all clearly cared about his feelings), his mom sounds like someone that instilled right/wrong in him. He knew exactly what he was doing and did it over and over again, and tried to stave off a plethora of members of this community when they called him on it thinking there was enough unknowns about the situation that he could get away with it. That is clearly NOT a naive teenager!

So, some advice to GG: Find another industry - ours has no room for liars and thieves. We've got enough of it already with RF and Enom and whatnot.

I agree with NameTrader, he will continue doing this after a while. Maybe in another industry, but he should not escape after a simple sorry. And that sorry came after lying, lying and stealing. He was well aware of what he was doing.

I am also concerned to see him not banned in another webmaster forum. Instead somebody who posted a link to this thread was banned there. If this is the protection other forums give their members, I better not stick with them. I posted a bad report a while back there and other people also mentioned that he stole the domain.

I don't know if this is allowed here, but I think it should be informative: If mods think they want to delete this paragraph, feel free to do it. but I need to mention the forum: DP.

:humble:

As I said in the last post, I doubt he's sorry other than being sorry he got caught. I do however agree he be allowed to right his wrongs but the banning is a no brainer. Right the wrongs and hope no one persues the full extent of the law. I gave you solid advice via PM's Grant and you decided to disregard them and pull further stunts. That resulted in me exposing two more thefts. You are getting more chances then I offer most people.

Ju just got da sting of the scorpion mane!

Luckily it isn't Scorponok's. (Oops, just watched Transformers...)

AlienGG certainly paid a high price. He'd better hope someone with lots of time
and money in their hands doesn't come after him for any domain names he had
possibly stolen from them.

Exactly, and playing the "I thought it was a legit service" card is BS. Through this whole thing, IMO, this was and has been a pattern of pure calculation.

I found it funny that his writting skills and grammar were perfect when angry and attacking, yet his apology notes were written with poor grammar and broken English...

Indeed, just curious to see if any of his purchasers will step forward and receive their refund.

you think so?

He returned what wasn't his to begin with so he's no worse off than before.
He got banned from yet another web forum.

That's it.

As for me, I've had weeks of stress trying to secure the return of my domain. I've had loss of revenue because people couldn't contact me at my usual address. I've thought of nothing for weeks except this, my sleep has been affected, the stress has been unreal. Belive me, the emotional impact of a theft like this should not be underestimated.

I'm still considering legal action but for now I have to concentrate on catching up on lost time.

I don't think for a second that he's an innocent little kid who went too far. He's a f***ing thief who turned my life upside down for weeks.

victimlesscrime - take a day or two away from the computer, smoke a big fat joint and put this all behind you and forget he even exists...don't dwell on this for too much longer, as you can't change the past - you can only learn from it. Reality is, had this not happened the domain would have been gone for good to a drop auction...his actions are deplorable and fraudulent, but everything happens for a reason. So consider the outcome here and onward through the fog! :eek:k:=~

I've refrained from posting so far, but this comment is completely unprofessional for a professional domain forum. First off, this guy has spent countless hours tracking down the thief who stole his domain name and was in control of his important business assets. What rights do you have to tell him to cool off and "smoke a big fat joint." If someone stole your wallet with license, credit cards... etc, how would you feel if some random shmuck told you the same thing? It's one thing to give that kind of bullsh*t advice if you are a college buddy of his or whatever, but you are not and should not give that type of advice on a professional forum.

This person isn't a domainer who has hundreds of domain names, where the loss of one is a minor inconvenience. This domain name IS HIS ENTIRE BUSINESS. The more sh*t like this that happens, the worse off our business is for it. If criminals get off with a slap on the wrist, there would be alot more crime. The thief clearly has pulled this type of thing before, is smart enough to have done it in the first place, but clearly not smart enough to get away with it. What's to stop him from doing it again? We are lucky someone like Josh took the time and made the effort to assist in this situation. That is much more constructive than telling the victim to chill out.

I do agree with this though: God bless & Happy Independence Day! :usa:

Exactly why you SHOULD consider legal action, and not let yourself think the effort would be a waste or too much additional stress.

Get a good lawyer who will split the proceeds of any coming forth from a rock solid case, let him do the leg and talk work and handle all the related stress as part of his job.

Dont let anyone who does you wrong and disrupts your life get off without some additional and likewise pain and suffering, and/or monetary 'loss'.

Go for it, and be proud you are in America and can do so.

It will be worth it in the end, at least even just knowing that justice is served appropriatly.

And since I couldnt edit to add,..

Civil AND Criminal charges ought to be applied.

We know that crimal charges will stick with him for life.
