Well, Donnacha kept saying that he could not access his email etc. So I just sent a message to see why. This is what MSN told me:

WTF's going on

Use Messenger to talk to your IM friends, even those on Yahoo! Talk now!

The email got bounced right away, and someone's saying I'm using his email while it doesn't even exist... lmao...

It certainly did exist on April 14th 2007 when the transfer was made.

The facts of the case as given by Network Solutions:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On 04-14-2007, there was a request made from the "I've forgotten my User ID or password" section of www.NetworkSolutions.com . A link to reset the password was sent to the email address on the account, [email protected]. The link was used to update the password and log into the account. The IP address used to log into the account on 4-14-2007 was 68.160.183.203.

The domain name was unlocked and the authorization code was sent to [email protected] on 04-14-2007.

A transfer request has was received from the .COM Registry on 4/14/2007 at 10:26:03 PM Eastern Standard US time.

The gaining registrar, Go Daddy Software, Inc sent an authorization email [email protected] on 4/14/2007. The authorization email from GoDaddy and from Network Solutions were both approved on 4/14/2007.

The domain name transfer was completed on 4/14/2007 at 10:29:07 PM Eastern Standard US time.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You are indisputably in possession of a stolen domain.
My domain.
If you did not steal it and if you are honest, you should be shocked that it is stolen. Instead you call me stupid and a liar and deny that there is anything wrong.

For anyone who doesn't know, aliengg is in massachusetts, USA.
The IP involved in the theft yields the following info:

IP address location & IP address info:
IP address: 68.160.183.203
IP country: United States
IP address state:
Massachusetts
IP address city: West Medford
IP latitude:
42.422798
IP longitude: -71.122902
ISP:
Verizon Internet Services
Organization:
Verizon Internet Services
Host:
pool-68-160-183-203.bos.east.verizon.ne

Aliengg, if you were an honest man, you would return the domain and would salvage some of your reputation on this forum.

On the other hand, if you wanted to keep and even sell a domain that is so obviously stolen you ought to be ashamed of yourself and in my opinion you would be no better than a common street thug.

Laugh now, but you have just ruined your rep here, only way to save the little of it you got left, is to give the name back, then work on good projects that do not involve hijackings.

Trust me, it is not worth it in this industry to try to sell stolen domain names. Everything shady you do on these forums will be made known.

Sad. Truly sad...but on i feel safe that all the "honest" domainers here help each other out.

If you keep your feet firmly on the ground, you’ll have trouble putting on your pants.

It would be nice to determine when the hotmail account was "recreated" and when it was deleted again. I imagine this data could be retreived by Network Solutions investigation team?

wow! After Donnacha's feedback, there is nothing left to say imo.
But you know what, whoever stole this domain, I kindda admire him/her lol.
Whole process done in couple of hours. So professional! and it doesn't seem like it's his/her first attempt.

AllienG, I wish you are innocent. Cause I don't want to see another old domainer to go down and loose all the respect that you earned past years.
But this time, I don't know, how you're going to proove that you're innocent.

Dude, I am not going to go back and read all the BS...but basically SOMEONE stole this domain..if it was not you, then who did you buy it from? Real simple question, please provide a real simple answer..this domain obviously was not deleted or caught in a drop...Netsol confirmed the process by which is was acquired...so basically YOU did it, or bought it from the person that did...please elaborate.

I don't know if this was mentioned or not, but were the authorities notified? If not, maybe they should be.

So its official? did he do it?

basically yes, unless he can prove that he was not the one who had stolen the domain. If he does, then he should also point out who it was that sold it to him and prove that by providing evidence of that transaction. If Alien did not steal it then obviously it would fairly easy to prove.

This is grounds for an immediate banning both here, namepros and any other forum.

I hope Grant does the right thing and returns the name, as for Susan Powell, I will persue this in my time.

This is funny, sorry been away last 2-3 weeks moving to new house and traveling on business...

Long story short - I hope everyone can see that AlienGC stole the domain and he gets IMMEDIATELY banned from here + NamePros/other forums...

What a joke... to steal a domain and insult a lot more experienced and seasoned domainers... nice way to ruin your rep for a few thousand dollars...

As for Donacha, I hope you have screenshots of the entire thread and if I were you I wouldn't settle for having just the domain back but would also file for punitive damages...!

:eek:k: Thanks for the vote of confidence, just as an FYI me + Josh spent over 3 weeks trying to locate the owner and had PIs doing background work... emails went unanswered so we figured no way to save..

the whole "stealing" process was immediately apparent to both of us, Josh exchanged at least 5 emails with AlienGC who posed as the "rightful owner" and it was a long time before were 1000% sure and blew the whistle... ;)

Why hire a PI when there is one right here in your backyard? ;)

The PI's should also take a closer look at mashup.com.
