news Marketplace Revamp

Hello DNForum Community,

We have completely revamped the Marketplace in favor of simplicity.

Instead of multiple sub-forums, we enforced prefixes for each of the markets. It is to make the forum cleaner and make posting and finding domains easier.

While we are on this topic, let us also talk about the "Sold" button. With a click of this button, you can mark a domain as sold:

That's all. Please provide us with the feedbacks, and we will work on better version of it.

Thank you!

Hi

it's good you got rid of all those unnecessary sections, especially the Premium section.
seems like every other newbie felt like their names were premium, so that's where they posted.

still, what happened to the Industry section, where all threads relating to registrars would go?

also, you left all that web3 and other sections in the drop down box to move threads from one section to another.

Thanks

The name INDUSTRY could be misconstrued

Why not just call it " Domain Services "

https://www.dnforum.com/forums/domain-industry-companies.206/ Are you talking about this one?

I've moved all the web3/third-level/adult markets into one section. What do you think of it?

Yes, we are planning to rename it, any other ideas on that section, @MapleDots or @Biggie ?

any other ideas on that section,
Hi

The adult section is gone and replaced with a prefix.
however, you can now see the listings when NOT logged in.

adult section used to be blocked, unless you are logged in.
also needs to ensure it's not visible to minors.

imo...

Yep, you are right.

also needs to ensure it's not visible to minors.
But, creating an account here doesn't ensure they are not minors. We are not considering their birth date (the field is not required).

Still, separate forums would be nice. Let me fix that quick.

Hi

this also brings up issue of legality and/or disputes when transacting with minors.

for new signups, maybe have something like "are you 21 and over or under 21?" type of question.
just saying...

imo...

First of all 21 is the wrong age, in many parts of the world 18 or 19 is "of age".
In Canada 18 is of age and 19 is of drinking age.

I took all the filters off my sons internet at 18, if he is old enough to join the army and fight for his country then he is old enough to look at naked people.

So setting the ALLOWED age to view content is not feasible on a WORLD forum, it is better to just say....

This forum contains adult content and by entering you are confirming you are of legal age in your country of your origin. More details can be read in our TOS at: tos.dnforum.com
