I have bought 2 names on ebay, and they were transfered to an account on Moniker, although I'm not sure anymore what that account name was. I think their security is great, and I've been thinking of transfering Deleted to them.

You know what? I think warning threads like this are good for Moniker, as they just help the promote their security.

Anyway, monte, is there a way I could get in to my account for BushAgenda.com? I have no idea what the ID is.

I really like Moniker because of the security.
Unfortunately, I really cant feasibly use them as my main registrar, even though I have a decent amount of domains, and a great prices.
The people are very helpful, either through email or phone.
The problem?
They do not accept foreign credit cards (even if issued by citibank from Europe)...
I hope they fix this issue soon. I have had trouble with this for 2 years.
Still, I like their security approach.
I have had no issues using my card there... I'm in Australia.

Hey folks,

Yes certain foriegn cards that do not comply with AVS (address verification security) are denied to avoid credit card fraud.

We now have a white list and a black list program. Simply email [email protected] with the credit card you want white listed and we will enter it for you.

Thanks,

Thanks Mr. Deleted!

We are receiving some great feedback, both good and bad but mostly good. I urge everyone to use the feedback form on the site for your suggestions and input.

Its new, totally redesigned, and much more advanced so I know that it will be hard to adjust to for some.

Thanks,

Consumers - Who charged you $60 for domains that did not transfer? If your domains did not transfer, then that registrar owes you your money back for charging you for a service that was not completed.

Regarding blocking of transfers, did you let us know what names you were transferring away prior to submission? Everyone knows the domain theft protection mechanisms we have in place at Moniker.

If you are having issues with names not being released, just email me at [email protected] with the domains and I will be sure to help you.

lol you expect him to pay if you did not have any contract to pay you?

Mr. Deleted,

You owe me $ 60 administrative fee because I saw that you posted.
And, you inconvenienced me because I had to read thru the thread to get
to your posting. :-D

If it would be more convenient, I will accept rolls of nickels as payment.

Also, the system works the best for people that do sell their domains as the push system is the safest and most secure in the industry. I am sorry you had problems with your transfer out. Everyone knows that emailing support@moniker from the admin contact first helps us verify that the request is real.

So you are saying that you have to first go through the lengthy domain transfer process ... and then have to email the admin contact everytime to let Moniker know the request is for real?

That my friend, is a huge hassle and contradicts your statement of how the system works the best for people that do sell their domains. This is offcourse my personal opinion.

lol where do I sent the :cheeky: 6000 pennies? I'll sent them in a coffie can or 2 if that is ok!?! :santa:

Anyway I still think his way of doing it is better then losing a 100K domain to a hijacking. And for that matter ICANN sould be put out of business anyway.

That was done ... then there some kind of screw up ... then you ahve contact Monte ... then you have to put the transfers through. of course none of this documented so you have to spend all kinds of trouble trying to contact Moniker and then they explain it, etc, etc. etc. It took 3 days and several e-mail and several transfer attempts just to do a simple transfer of 3 domains. With all the domains I get I would spend half my like arguing with the one scam registry after another.

The ICANN rules say transfers cannot be denied because the admin contact didn't anwer (or didn't call Monte or complete whatever secret method each registry has to complete these transfers). Moniker is by no means the worst but that Monte guy is so annoying when he keeps pretending he doesn't know what you are talking about when you complain that i always pursue complaints agsint him when I get the chance.

Quit the bitching... My quess would be that if you would loose a domain at some register woth say i million, like Men.com, you would be spending 100K to recover it and a month would go by before you got it back... That is longer then 3 days.
