I contacted sedo, which optimized a few of my websites with different keywords, and my revenue actually increased, DRAMATICALLY....

I hope it remains consistent.

I thought about doing that myself too, I am a fairly intellegent guy, I scored above 1st year college reading level several times on US gov test and when i go to sedopro section I get lost, except for the basic keyword suggestion i really get confused

Sedo keeps bringing up the "keyword optimization" lolipop, but they have admitted the new system is a revenue yo-yo.

So tell us Sedo: when I get $3.50 for a click why would I need to optimize again? And why the next day the PPC falls to $0.09 ?

Tell us, how much money do you make on our traffic?

I'm not defending Sedo (I have my own issues), but the difference between $3.50 and $.09 is simply which ad was selected.

This is posted at Sedo, and is a decent explaination as to how things work. It is more than I think we'll ever get from someone at Sedo posting here. Maybe some of you haven't seen it, as it is in the new optimization pages.

That means, the "optimize again" statement from Sedo is false. You can't optimize, you just have to hope their feed performs.

Sedo claimed that our revenue will increase. It has gone down.

As for my earnings...I have been doing pretty well with the new Sedo. Many of you may have seen decreases when they fixed the bug that was paying US rates for some Traffic back in August. The bug was fixed 9/1 or so...and foreign traffic(I believe only from India) epc decreased. I saw a massive decrease from that...but it has leveled off now.

My revenue has stayed pretty high because I have really stayed on top of things as far as trying new keywords. Here is a good example...I have a TON of "rapper" names. The keyword "rap music" used to pay around $.60/click...and after the changes....went down to like $.10. My rep suggested "rap mixtapes". That brought me back up. Then that one went down....and I tried "rapper"....now back up to $.71/click or so. I also have been keeping in close touch with my rep. He has also been very helpful with suggesting higher paying keywords. The reps have been vey helpful in helping me to earn more money. The more I make...the more they make. ;)

I also park at DS....and one thing I can say is that the Sedo reps have been much more helpful than the DS reps have been for me. DS does seem to pay higher on some traffic, so I have left names there for now. I have actually moved a few from Sedo over to DS, and now moved back to Sedo because they were earning better at Sedo. Getting ready to move some banking names over to Sedo now to see how they do. :)

As you say, it's "up and down" no matter what keywords you use. I call it "Yo-yo revenue", apparently a new Sedo mark.

If you seriously think that "the more I make the more they make" applies, let me remind you who keeps track of both your traffic and revenue. You have no control over it. No rates, percentages etc are disclosed. Sedo gets paid first, then you - not the other way around.

I have made more in sedo in last 3 days then anywhere else like i said before 90 percent of my traffic is usa based, I was with sedo for a long time until i got tired of the 10 cent clicks and moved away, now that i am back my average click is well over 50 cents now, i beleive sedo will be a major competitor with 5 million domains, i hope they pursue the click fraud types because they certainly have traffic fraudsters using there system

Your check's in the mail, fatter.

So I made $4.51 from a single click today. Whoah!

What's the catch?

That's from a domain that gets 2 hits a day.

Now, the one that gets 70-80 daily and has a conversion rate of over 45% used to make $0.35 a click. Now it's 9 cents a fingerslip.

Are you with me so far?

That means, that my money-maker domain, the one with the natural type-in traffic, is making less than this random 2-hitter. It devalues the reselling potential based on the times-x annual revenue model.

No, the situation is not getting better.

acroplex I am not disputing what you are saying, the reason i left my last parking company is for the very same reason, i had some realy good typein names that were earning good money for months then the bottom fell out so i left, i am only saying as of right now sedo is paying great for me, if my income drops i will move again my last parking company was paying close to a dollar click then it went to 7 cents so i left, you certainly cant fault me for trying to get best money the only thing i have going for me is most of my traffic is usa based, i have no high traffic names most of my names get 1 visitor a day at most 20

Ok thanks fatter for the clarification, it all makes sense now. Remember, your traffic is your money - *YOUR MONEY* - and you're doing them a favor when they use it.

Example of the new "Yo-yo" revenue model.

Notice the daily average PPC:

$0.09
$0.12 Up
$0.84 Up (wow, we'll make some money)
$0.13 Down (oh dang it)
$0.59 Up (I see some light at the end of the tunnel)
$0.06 Way down (the pain never ends...)

How can you possibly think the bid price is bouncing around with that little bit of clicks. Your just seeing the "average" for the day. One good click will make it jump up while another day you might just get the "normal" clicks.

I think you need significantly more clicks to be able to get a good picture of things.

This is just a domain of the 650 in my portfolio with Sedo. Why don't you post *your* stats if you're doing exceptionally better? It's very indicative of the fluctuations currently in place with Sedo's brand new plan to make us money (sarcasm intended).

Copper, that's not the point. And if I sold them all, I'd make a nice killing as well.

The point is, Sedo's not delivering anything but PR fluff.

Today's projected to be a horrible day. I've also seen some increasing filtration of valid traffic by Sedo. We're back to the old story about not counting all the beans. I maintain my own syslogs & use URL forwarding for my most important domains. Currently Sedo cuts off roughly 20% of hits - we're talking about a domain with 100% type-in traffic.

I looked better at my stats today so I basically doubled my earnings with sedo.
Few notes I park mostly my european domain and some have done exeptionally better than before going from 5 eur to 30 eur per day (financial names) I am doing very very badly with italian names and a little better with US names.
I do around 13K uniques per day CTR 23% CPC 9 cents before I was around 20% and 6 cents per click
Cheers

Today was the 2nd worst day of the past 3-4 months for me, with the worst being Sunday 9/10. It was the worst weekday. A Black Friday.

The figures show that my average PPC was HALVED from yesterday, from $0.22 down to $0.11

I had more hits and more clicks than yesterday, and yet my revenue was exactly 50% of yesterday.

It's outrageous. A rip-off of our traffic.

Do you really think this travesty is making us more money? Their feed does not deliver, period!

Sedo was seen reading this thread this am. They never responded. I call it a scandal.
