I red on the parked.com topic that some of them are having such problems.

@Avensen: ok,I am agree with you but don't you think that Sedo must come and say to us why do we earn less and less money? If they are so big as they say it is normal to treat us like a big company not like a small one. It is not hard to say:

" hey Guys sorry but your earnings will be smaller but we promise that we will struggle to increase them again",isn't it?

Well it's Sedo's 5th anniversary after all - we're funding the corporate cocktail party in Cologne.

Surely, they should make some kind of statement. Unfortunately, domainers community is poorly organized and can't react in such situations. Who knows, maybe it's time to create a domainers trade-union. :fencing:

good shot Theo!

i tested the same domain referenced to in my previous post, at DomainSponsor.

at that time the ppc for the domain @ sedo had dropped to $0.11 > $0.17, down from $0.42 > $0.74 per click

when i moved it to DS, the ppc was $0.17, which was the same rate at sedo.

now keep in mind that moving to DS meant that the domain was not optimized and we all know how DS generic landers look!

if i had kept the domain parked at DS, and let THEM optimize it, would it have increased?

so if i can get the same from DS, with a generic lander, that has not had TIME to optimize.....what does that say about Sedo?

especially since they got new pages with optimized keywords and pictures too!

maybe they should have done a "beta test" first, before making those feed changes.

one GOOD thing I can say is, that the partner stats were GREAT last month!

i've been trying to promote SedoPro, however this issue is starting to conflict with that promotion.

how can i continue to persuade others, if so many are unsatisified?

remember this Sedo!

the more money our domains make the more you make..

the more money our domains make, the more we can sell them for

the more we sell them for.....the more money YOU make on escrow fees!

see how it works :)

now get bizzy!

Don, I agree - the predicament is there: how do you promote Sedo when they're pimping our domains for a bigger cut?

The "great news" lasted 48 hours - 72 at the most. Yes, the difference was great then.

Apparently, Sedo decided the cut we were getting was too much.

No problemo. It cuts both ways.

Ever since they moved to the supposedly "better" google feed my revenue have taken a big hit. my revenue dropped from $350 a day to around $200 and it is unacceptable. It really hurts us that invest in domains and are going to resale them at some point. We all know how this can hurt our asking price. It's almost the same as your domains' value dropping by almost 50%!! My rep kept on tweaking the keywords but somehow i do not think it will help as revenue just keep dropping it seems.

To make matters worse, I have also been promoting sedo and have sold some names to close clients and now they are complaining to me for recommending them. I hope sedo can either change the feed back or they need to give us a better cut than before to cover the lower epc.

the $0.08 per click is with my 20% bonus boost which they made permanently after they messed up my keywords on more than 300+ domains.... I'm just about done with Sedo unless somebody publicly explains what is going on! To say you "improve" system yet blatantly have members take 50%+ loss = improving your own pockets....

Another interesting thing.

I have 2 domains , optimized with the same word. One of them is getting 1.20 and the other 1.85 for a click from the same country.

I have been a big fan of Sedo for a long time, and I want to give them every opportunity to maintain my business.

But I have about reached the end of my patience. I took a 50% loss starting the first day they made the change (8/16) and now I have taken another 20% drop from that starting 9/1.

One of my domains went from $275.00/day to $34.00/day.

Hopefully Sedo will get this straightened out over time, and I wish them the best, but I can no longer invest the time to wait them out. I have to move on.

this is the sentiment across all posters on this thread.. I too have decided to move back to TrafficZ the cryptic response on this very thread from Sedo as well as the "eternal" silence is clearly a joke

I agree wholeheartedly with many of the sentiments expressed in this thread. I too have tended to give Sedo the benefit of the doubt however I'm amazed at the arrogance being shown to us with a lack of information. Clearly something has either fundamentally changed or there has been some kind of mess-up here. We can't all be imagining it! Why can't we be kept informed?

Come Sunday and no improvement then the vast bulk of my portfolio of more than 1000 domains will be parked elsewhere.

Stephen.

Wow, that is amazing you have a domain that could make that much a day.

Can you possibly tell me which domain by PM as I am always curious about major income names like that one?

Total arrogance. Also not a good idea to email everyone on 8/16 with some fantastic essay on how we will all be making more money under the "new feed" that will require major re-optimization. They could have just said "By the way, we are changing our cut - and not in the good way". At least that is respectable on some level.

Their silence is the old arrogant corporate way of thinking "If we simply don't respond, the issue will be forgotten soon".

Sorry Sedo, doesn't work anymore in these times of forums, blogs and social networking.

What's even more arrogant are their lukewarm pseudo statements just like the one they made when asked about their standing in the ICANN .org/.info/.biz agreement fiasco.

May i quote : "Sedo will continue to act as an advocate for the domain community (the domain name owners). It is for this reason that Sedo is working to become ICANN accredited."

So the reason for Sedo "working" to become ICANN accredited is to act as an advocate for the domain community - and not because of financial/business reasons ?!

Yeah, sure.Who ya trying to fool.

It's these kind of statements that will cost them their credibility.

Plus their (non-) actions of course like in this PPC matter.
