I agree the customer service is swift and complete. The good thing about this is that domainers are running this operation.. people passionate about the biz and who know the market.

Glad to see Ed with his mojo back, we almost lost you for a while there.

Results are impressive, and above expectations. I am pleased with the results then whooosh the real stats 48 hours later.. all I can say is WOW.. where shall I sent my first born :)

Can NameDrive Sustain this..? is this the honeymoon period?

Well all I can say is that I am glad to get in on the ground floor.... I just keep thinking if this is what is on offer now ... what will it be like 1 year from now..

Well done guys.. I have some serious decisions to make now, and I swore that I would never put all my eggs in one basket.. this is something I may now reconsider..

Hi there people,

I think you'd be even more impressed by the service if you knew that the cricket was on in the office as England won back the Ashes...
Yes, you all have no idea what I'm talking about but it is certainly worth a beer at 6.00.

At any rate, it's great to hear that a lot of people are trying out names. As I think I may have said in my 'sea of text' :), we'd love you to test, but would encourage not to use your very lowest-performing names, because we can't generate cash where there is none. I can thank Angus for putting into words exactly what we feel: We think we are doing well now at just 10 days old. We can't wait to see how we're doing in a years' time. I hope you'll be with us still.

I can assure you it's no 'honeymoon period'. There is certainly no point in our diaries further down the line saying "cut back payments, move to Fiji". We are here for the long run and are looking to improve on a day to day basis rather than the gargantuan players in the market on a year to year basis.

Great oaks from little ashes grow...

Try us out, tell us if you're satisfied. Tell us what you want. We'll try and implement it. Within reason.

Thanks guys.

Ed

Still wondering about forwarding to certain keyword pages, if the domains are VERY targeted to that keyword...

So far, ND has outperformed SEDO by about 50% and Gold Key by 100% for me

Currently I'm having trouble - slow loading times for my sole parked domain.

Yeah, I find that they are kind of slow, and I get a lot of sql server restrating/sql server down messages. I think they need to upgrade/get more servers to handle the load.

Switched back to Sedo for the time being. This is frustrating.

Well I can reach the IP without any issues so no router problems.. looks like Someone is making too many request onto the webservers.. hmmm. Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the water :)

I have gone all in on this one, thankfully recent events has forced me to implement my own redundancy service so minimal of disruption

they are getting ddos'd.

Hello Domainers,

Allow me to introduce my Self to the forum, I am Alex, NameDrive's CTO, and currently late night server minder.
Unfortunately we are currently experiencing a disruption in service due to a heavy stream of traffic, probably due to an intentional attack. We are working with our Server Hosts to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.

I apologize for the spotty service and understand how trying this can be on your patience. Rest assured that you will not loose any revenue due to this issue as NameDrive will compensate you at a level equal to the average revenue that you would have normally earned during the period of outage.

Again I am doing all I can to get this resolved immediately and hope that our servers will soon be back to normal.
Ed will be on the forums tomorrow to deal with any questions that you may have.

Sincerely,

Alex

Sigh.
NameDrive got hit by a DDOS attack yesterday. We give up. This game is too hard. We're throwing in the towel. Thank you for your support.
Goodbye.

Well, really. What did you expect?
We've been in business 10 days.
The US market has been aware of us for 48 hours.
We get hit by a DDOS attack.
The smallest parking company currently on the market gets hit by a DDOS attack.

Somebody out there is worried.

Seriously though. I know you are accustomed to (and daunted by) my 'Sea of text' that I normally write, so I'll keep to the point:

We were hit by a malicious attack yesterday. We have been very conscious that other companies' success has also been their downfall (i.e. not enough bandwidth), so we already have a larger-than-currently-necessary server solution in place for that. However, even the mightiest parking companies are not safe from these attacks, as we have seen very recently.

We will, of course, compensate for lost revenue. Whether we can persuade you cynical people :) that we are as good (and ready) as we say we are remains to be seen.

However, this attack has not only shown that we are obviously doing enough things right to scare people after only 10 days of existence, it has made us stronger for future attacks and made us all the more determined to show you how fantastic we are...

I said it myself just 48 hours ago that we are setting out on a long road. This setback hasn't knocked us off our stride at all, merely given us a dead leg for a couple of hours.

With that said, everything is up and running again but a tad slow. It should be performing better than ever before before teatime on Tuesday.

Thanks for your support people. We're here for the long run. Hope you stick around...

Email me if you have any personal things to be sorted out on [email protected]
