Just to keep the record straight, this was "nick's" friend that answered the email and not his "brother" as you earlier indicated.

As far as this matter is concerned---believe what you want because in the end it really doesn't matter to me.

Dear sir, a friend of Nick's has just wrote me from the forum,
and told me what you and others were saying.

Let me get a few things straight.

The reason I am answering emails quickly is because I am in the
middle of answering a lot of them that are coming in since the
owner apparently posted my first one. They are all forwarded
to the same mailbox, which pops up live as soon as they come in.
This is the first time that answering an email quickly has ever
been considered a bad thing. Very strange.

I was also informed that somebody named izopro said it was strange
that I would keep hostco.us and not namepopper.com

For God's sake, check the damn registration dates. I did not KEEP
hostco.us and decide NOT to keep namepopper.com. Namepopper.com
expired, and hostco.us just hasn't expired yet. I did not renew
or decide to KEEP it. It expires in a couple months.

So tell izopro his logic is totally wrong.

For that matter, most of my brothers old names have expired. There are
only a few that I decided to renew, if they appeared to be obviously
worth something.

I can't believe anybody is tarnishing my brother's name. He never did
anything bad to anybody, and gave everything he had to that place and
those people. He left this world owing nobody anything.

This is very hurtful.

By the way, The ONLY thing he EVER did was not list his phone number.
He didn't give a fake number. He just put 5555555 or 0000000.

This was strictly for privacy, and because we had recieved
many crank calls, even threats, when he would reject offers
for certain names. There are a lot of nuts in the world.

For God's sake, that's the VERY reason that some registration
companies now offer a service to hide your personal info.

Tell mr izopro that!!!

Goodbye.

I read that and wonder - is that an email from someone who has just lost a dear brother in death and continues to desire to just let friends know of the death?
I am not convinced.

Why is it that Namepoppers biz associates (I shared several deals with Popper and some unfinished) can't get just a bit of information as to maybe an obituary or cause or date or address or whatever? I can understand the family's pain, but we were his friends as well. I don't want the brother (or friend) deluged with email, but I'm still tempted to write.

Maybe its time to just take it all at face value and let it go?

If Popper has passed away ... my sincerest condolences and if not I wish him the best whereever and whatever he is ... I'm sure he has his reasons if the latter is the case.

Popper never did anything but contribute and be a positive influence here. Why not let it go at that ... what is to be gained by conspiracy theories?

my name is victor santoro, i am not namepoppers brother, nor am I the author of those books, just same name. I just sent the email regarding the domain name to the email address in the whois. I think you may have confused this a bit.

No, Mr Webname, it does not. I agree 100%!

If my brother died, the last thing I would EVER do is get on a web forum and yell and scream at my "brother's" former business associates.

Not to sound disrespectful, but from the beginning this sounds like a fake-out. However..... if Popper's "brother" has any interest in clearing this up- he should scan an obit and.or newspaper death notice, and provide it to the OWNER of the forum- DCG. I trust that if DCG received this, and felt it was 100% legit,m then it would go a LONG way to clearing up all the mystery.

I think it's possible that someone's having a joke at our (and Namepopper's) expense.

Either way its a shitty situation.

Either a great guy has passed on,

or someone is taking advantage of the situation which is pretty sad if you ask me.

All the best NamePopper, wherever you are?

Seems like in our little world this whole issue is akin to "cropcircles" or "visitation from aliens". We all believe in Namepopper as a user who interacted on the forum and whom I personally bought & sold names from. I think I even remember seeing a bio posted on his old webpage a while back when I was just getting started including a picture.

So looking back in time.... My fondest memory was the Human Fetus website he was selling.....including the human fetus picture which he had made which was a little disturbing.

I normally would not post here-- but I was going to a deal with this guy -- I did some research and discovered that one of his addresses was about 2 miles from me. I have driven by this house before, I seriuosly doubt it belongs to him -- I assumed he was a kid living at home. Moreover, their has been nothing in the local paper. Hope it helps.

if it's true, I can just say that I lost one of the two or three people that helped me get started in this business. He was always so damn nice to me when I asked all the newbie questions and we had some good talks... I don't care if you people don't believe his death, I don't want to speculate. All I want is NP to rest in peace like he deserves to.

BTW, he was in a wheelchair from an accident I believe. Maybe he passing away had something to do with that? What do I know....

Sometimes, I think you guys are assholes. If pop is really dead, and you guys are acting like he was a crook and scammer, it is about time I am forced to share something he PMed me in confidence many moons ago after I rebuked him for a very appreciative comment he made in this forum that I was very knowledgeable in spam fighting. Just let it be, you unthankful bast*rds.

Heyo

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mole - I was in an accident a while back - and I am in a wheelchair and my legs don't work anymore. So the truth is I really don't get out from behind my computer very often - so that comment hit me a little close to home.

Greg - and many of my closest friends here know my situation - but I don't really talk about it.

That's why ...... well...anyway.... I'm sorry if my comment about your knowledge of Spam seemed like I was being a smart ass. I promise you that I didn't mean it that way. Please understand that.

Thanks,
Nick
