Namemart and eJournalism.com have some pretty doeable business models behind them.

Thanks Mole. eJournalism is actually the course name they are using in many colleges now for specialized web journalism classes. I normally dislike "e" prefix names but electronic journalism is a real term so I can live with this one (especially since I am never going to own Journalism.com :)).

Ogre, I hope you get your inquiry on NameMart com from the guy who bid $2500!

DomainOrge,
It was my initial bid that you beat on namecart. I thought about topping it. But, decided not to.

I looked the next day to see who beat me at NW. Then, I saw it was you

I was curious to see what you did with it.

Me too, Duke:).

I think mine was the 3rd bid on NameWinner for NameCart.com, ActNow. You bid $8.95 or $25?

The guy who had the snap on NameCart wanted it for something to do with baby names, but I wanted it for domain names, of course:). I still may develop it someday whether I develop NameMart or not, because I like its possibilities.

LOL, I got them both. I got NameCart.com earlier in the week in case I did not get NameMart.com.

NameMart.com is the big one I got today:).

The two of you that had NW bids on NameCart.com had plans to do something with it that involved domain names right?

It never fails. You would think someone who wanted a name bad enough to bid $2500 for it would at least check the WhoIS and contact the winner of the drop to see what they wanted for it.
Oh well. It will make a great name to base your domain business on. :)

This senario happens a lot actually. I've bought many snaps a few days before. It's mainly b/c some people try to see if the name will fall under the radar and don't want to spend the extra money at the time. But later after someone buys the snap it makes them want it even more and they realize namewinner may be their only choice (especially buydomains).

I had bid $8.75 for a particular domain at nw and the bids went upto $150 . Just out of curiosity I went to snapnames. To my surprise a snap was available. I ordered snap few minutes before the drop and got the name. :D

Yea, I think I will go after a little niche in the domain industry that I think needs to be served better, lower-priced domains for sale. I think the name "NameMart.com" captures that idea perfectly. Sort of like a Walmart for domain names:). We will see tho, still just in the planning stages.

BTW, how high will DomainShop.com go if NameMart.com went to $2500? I think it expires soon (currently in the redemption period) and I dont have a snap on this one:). Wow, this one has every single US extension taken. Any predictions?
