You claimed that anyone who thinks the name is worth upwards of 50k needs to find a new hobby. That sounds pretty definitive to me.

If "person.com" was dropping there would be bids over 10k on various drop services. that alone wipes out your appraisal.

It's not about sensitivity or anything personal towards you, but this is dnforum. Too much misinformation gets spread around here as supposed "knowledge". I'm not saying person.com is necessarily worth 100k, but that type of appraisal is by no means "absurd" for a domain like this.

There are many apps on this name that are roughly the same amount (even less) than mine. They come form people (like myself) who have far more experience - far more knowledge - and far more sales than you. I'm trying very hard not to make this personal - but since you have chosen to - I will not wear 'kid gloves' with you any longer. (no pun intended)

That's a very realistic appraisal. Granted - any tool can be right or wrong a fair amount of time. In this case you hit the nail right on the head in my opinion. (and many other people's too apparently)

There is no point in arguing about this. Some people get it - some people don't. Still others choose to attack the people who do. It's crazy. I don't know why he is trying to single me out. Maybe he is just having a bad day.

This is a good name. Nobody ever said otherwise.

I'm sorry namepopper I've tried to stay polite, but you claiming to have more experience and more knowledge than anyone including me, is downright insulting. You're still hand regging domains, for crying out loud. You have no clue what constitutes value in a domain name.

The fact that you've sold domains says nothing. I've sold just as many names as you have on the forum if not more. I'm not a domain seller by the way. I buy domains.

2) DOH! I also use drop services. But yes - I indeed do register names by hand as well. I have been very successful at it. I'm sorry that you have not also developed the skill to do so.

cmason22 - I'm sorry that this happened in your app thread. I know that you understand that half of the apps here are in the same range as mine - and I also know that you realize it's not a big deal. From time to time we get somebody like KidKool - who for whatever reason on that day - is more interested in fighting than actually trying to do anything productive. Normally though - they are at least arguing over one of their own names. I have to admit that this one even surprises me.

I won't edit his comments though - because they serve a purpose - and he is entitled to his own opinions. If you wish the thread closed and to start a fresh one - please just send me a pm.

Popper and Kid -

You two should let it go.

This is an appraisal section, and it is all about opinions. SO you two have a difference of opinion about this name. Who cares? No need to take it to a personal level.

When I put something up for appraisal, I take into account all of the opinions. I like to put up a poll as well so i can see the distrubution of optinions. I might think a name s worth 20k and somebody might think it iw worth 1000. He a couple people think it is a 1000 name, then that tells me that maybe I am thinking too highly of a name. I do not try to associate a hard number with a name, but rather the overall opinion. In any appraisal, you will have people all over the board from low to high, but the bulk of people should be in the middle somewhere. So Kid is on the upper side and Popper is on the lower side. Big deal - it is to be expected.
