They might but will they use .xxx? - hell they will. They'll use .sex or .porn or something similar just to piss new net off for taking away some of their past business.

DomainSage is right about one thing (and it is about time I might add :) ). DNFactory, your new.net xxx names won't be any good if there is an official .xxx Tld. Your names will go to people on the official extension.

This stuff about hundreds of millions of people being able to see new.net is meaningless. How many bother to install the plug in? Probably hundreds rather than hundreds of millions. I surf 14-16 hours a day and I've never installed it and I'm sure I never will. You're going to have to make your fortune with brawl.com and some of your others along that line. Good luck to you!

New.net won't have anything to say about. They have no standing whatsoever in official internet circles. If ICANN wants .xxx they take .xxx and new.net holders are out in the cold. Didn't the exact same thing happen with .biz? I think new.net was using that before the official one came along and made the new.net names worthless.

(actually they were worthless to begin with)

From what I've read using a new .xxx or similar tld will be purely voluntary. And it might even be a subdomain .of .us like kids. In any case, porn will still exist on .com and other tlds. It will just also now exist on another tld, possibly a subdomain.

New.net never used .biz. .Biz was an alt tld as was .info I believe in the pacific root. .Biz was run by Leah Galagos I think. She fought in congress to get her .biz in the a root and lost. It had nothing to do with new.net.
