MR.G u know that 1 + 1 = 2 .. why spend hours trying to teach someone who refuses to accept it adds up to 2!
It was my goof...the members with more than 1/3 a brain jumped all over me on that one. I deserved it.

Call it the "heat of passion" banging out this stuff.

Wow because Doc says it - it MUST be true. I see you have a new sidekick - boy wonder impersonating Batman.

You have to admire (not really) the gumption of the mobi boosters. Everything they say is automatically right and anyone who dares challenge the group-think mentality of their beloved tld is wrong and needs to be smeared. Sorry to break up and disturb your circle-jerking.

Prices are falling - that's the reality for .mobi. When was the last time a tld saw all the LLL's go and within months the prices start to plummet? Oh yeah - .eu - the other over-hyped, pumped and dumped tld that has never really recovered. That time is coming for .mobi and that will be really seen in a few months when tens of thousands of them are dropped and not picked up again.

The mobi brigade can yell, scream and call others names all they like. They are invested heavily in a tld with no future as it was intended. Technology waits for nobody - least of all some obscure tld that nobody outside of domaining even knows about - or cares about for that matter.

Let the moronic yelling commence. Post your cut and paste "omfg xyx company is using a regfee mobi domain" screeds and all that garbage which pumps you all up in your own minds. The only honest and worthy mobi investors are the few who admit that there is no traffic, that ANY tld can do the same thing, and that they are in it to sell them off at a profit before the market corrects itself - like markets always do.

Doc really reminds me of the idiots i used to watch in the jail every day. They get all pissed off and starting jumping around yelling at one another, "don't you know who I am!?", always thinking they are the biggest and baddest. When in reality they are just another idiot schmuck tossed in the can with the rest of the idiots. Nothing amuses me more than legends in their own minds.

You seem to be creating quite a legend in your own right by putting your own foot in your own mouth.

Look at your self and what you are saying. You really are clueless.

I am sitting claiming this is not about mobi but the whole industry in general yet you want to claim it is all about .mobi and the pumping and hype.

So what the hell is it going to be? Down 2/3 last week? Up how much tonight? Or was that down tonight but up from last week? or two weeks ago they were fetching 1/3 of what they were a month ago but tonight they increased 10 fold? I can't remember.

Make the call, big shot. You are doing such a great job at forecasting.

You are an absolute fool and you and sashas must have been cellmates in that prison you are referring to. I am sure there were no lonely or cold nights under that shared blanket.

why spend hours trying to defend it then? If 1+1 = 2, then just let it be and don't even try and bother to defend it. I've never seen anybody try and give any explanations as to why 9+1 = 10.

And please get off the king and queen analogies. Makes us all feel kinda colonial.

As far as the current names are concerned, I would gladly pay 500k for Indian.com if I had the cash right now. Hell of a name

Oh we had fun. Haven't you seen Shawshank Redemption? Just think of that with a lot of half naked chicks.

Get out of your dumbass mind. Prices are falling and this auction just proved it. Porn is a top notch keyword VERY relevant to the extension, and it couldn't reach even 1/4th of the Music.mobi or less than Poker.mobi (not relevant at all) just goes to show the same. Not a lot of confidence.

Stop posting the same lame *** bullshit about "proving something" or the evangelical you copy paste in conferences with Vision. ".mobi is coming" - you sound like a preacher...

lol

Im not sure if you have seen the movie 2001 ODYSSEY - it starts up with 2 groups of chinpanse... group 2 eventually dominates group 1, because it took a chance in life. TRIAL and ERROR

ERROR for the chinpanse who did not take a chance... they will fade as time goes by!

Thats chimpanzee. Don't insult your ancestors with bad spelling

Look at you. You are even starting to use my phrases which shows you do nothing but copy someone else and run from thread to thread and forum to forum.

And you have yet to prove anything with the exception of just how foolish you look.

Tell us, what is the other loser or failure you would like to proclaim to the world seeing that you really nailed that Zagat thing.

You ain't heard any preaching yet, brother. I am feeling rather spiritual since I have not had any sleep worth speaking of with this flu bug.

So bring you and your *****es on and get ye cast down and smitten.

Glossing over all the unavoidable insult slinging that these .mobi posts tend to throw up my opinion on the auction follows:

I think we have to look outside of the 'domaining' world to understand the underwhelming sales figures achieved at last nights auction. A couple of things struck me as soon as I logged into the live event:

1. There was hardly anybody present in the room. Unless they were all hiding behind the camera it definetely appeared to be a 'thinned' out assembly. In addition only 100 or so online bidders were present...
2. It was rapidly approaching 00:00am where I was (UK) and the auction had only just started.

In consideration of this I'd like to put two ideas forward that might explain what I consider to be the exceptionally 'low' prices that were achieved across all the TLD's last night...

1. The availability of large capital sums to support any form of investment is now much tighter. I have clients involved in Financial Services and there is much 'belt-tightening' going on right now. I also appreciate that domaining may provide the investment community with a new 'bubble' in the medium-term as was recently suggested by a leading commentator but in the short-term it would be foolish to expect domain transactions to be unaffected by the wider global economic situation.

2. This point is more speculative but I can't help thinking that auctions on the West Coast of the US make it difficult for bidders from Europe, the Middle East and Western Asia to participate. In terms of the effect on .mobi, we already have a sense that Europe & Asia Pac are well in advance of our US counterparts when it comes to mobile internet take-up and the resulting confidence in .mobi that this has. Considering this I think mTLD may have overreacted to the Sedo situation, and by offering these latest names in a tight time window which was hugely inconvenient to their key target markets was only ever going to result in dissapointing outcomes for all investors except those that made successful bids on the night...

If the winner of porn.mobi or any of those premium names were able to flip them via Sedo (T&C's allowing... I'm not sure if they can...) they'd be wearing smiles for the rest of the year I'm sure...

My two cents/pennies ;-)

It seems pretty simple to me. The market is saturated with 'major' auctions, and hence, with top-end names.

There is a limit to the amount of dollars available for buying such names, as the overwhelming majority are domainer-to-domainer sales.

using your phrases? Which one did you copyright, 'bullshit' or 'lame'?

And whats your ****ing obsession with how "foolish" someone looks on this forum, or how he's "embarrassing" himself? Grow up and stop being a dumbass. This is a forum...who the **** cares what anyone thinks about you here? In fact, who the **** cares what anyone thinks about you anywhere?

Zagat.mobi sucks. There. Enough fodder for several more posts. You can ***** and moan about it later on.

Stop taking this shit so seriously and stop caring so much about how you're "looking" here or how you're making others look. Nobody gives a damn about it, other than insecure keyboard warriors like you.

I would suggest you unhook your self esteem from your computer screen and get a life, Frankenstein.

And Zagat.mobi sucks again
