Raider, the good news is that for those that don't like the parking company they are with, there are many others to move too. Seems real easy to me.

Your right, we all have that choice.. Let me clarify something, It's not that I don't like Parked, I DO, their an excellent parking company, better than any of the ones I've parked with, The problem I have is the year long decline in revenue, this maybe acceptable to you and others but it's not with me.

I'm not expecting Donny to change anything, it maybe beyond his control, I'm simply posting my experience for other readers, and at the same time letting Donny know why I'm moving my domains out.

This is strictly a business decision, nothing personal... I always had a good relationship with Donny.

If we look at Yearly numbers, it looks much worse.... I just pulled my stats from last year, I'm earning roughly 40% less this YTD than I did last YTD.

And my Traffic Quality Score is a consistent 10.

This is reason enough to start looking elsewhere, I think Parked is the best there is when it comes to landers and customer support, but I have to go where the revenue is.

That's what I thought, when will these idiots learn they cant get away with it?

Yes, Clever people are not writing on forums ,They send computer attack to show their anger to Donny.Maybe I must choose that way. Unsuccesful ? I dont think so.I dont write in detail because I dont want my account(s) going to be banned :)

Wolfis, can you post some screenshots to prove your case?
I didn't think you even had names at parked.

no need to provide any screenshots - as donny posted earlier in this very thread - the situation was resolved and it was to my satisfaction explained what happened ( if anything actually happened ) anyhow , the issue has been resolved and
yes i do have still 100's of domains with parked and at this time i do not see the need nor do i have the time to move these domains away - also it would be quite useless as nowadays the google feeds pay pretty much the same as the yahoo feeds pay.
trust me on this, i use quite a few services with thousands of domains all over the place and i can tell you nothing has changed - some domains will make more with some ppc companies and other domains with other companies .

to clear a few other things up that where posted in the thread :

it does not matter how many or how few domains you may or may not have at parked - you get the same treatment - you will not get banned just because you got a short fuse - as far as i can tell the only way ANY parking company will close your account if they suspect click fraud of any kind .

..and guess what: i do not cheat or lie and i do not do any kind of click fraud EVER
yes, i have a short fuse and a hot temper but i am honest and i think many people know this by now and appreciate that.

i am very sure that if i would at any company do any kind of click fraud i would be the first whos account gets closed down .

I disagree on the payments of Google vs Yahoo.
Yahoo's PPC was notoriously generous until late 2008 and has since fallen to paltry sub-dime payments regardless of location. It's the way they had to go, after their obnoxious refusal of a buyout by Microsoft ended with their stock hitting bottom. Plain and simple, Yahoo is picking our parking pockets and I don't find them to be an advantage over Google. Therefore, Parked - despite its technological advantage of super duper back end and whatnot - places domainers at the tough spot of choosing customizable layouts over static templates at other parking companies, all while paying considerably less. The choice is yours.

And so the never ending story continues.. sometimes Yahoo is better, sometimes Google is better. One day XYZ PPC company is trash, another it is gold. There is only one constant ...these kinds of posts.

Agree about Yahoo based on my YPN account where the income has declined about 65% or more since 2008. In the past YPN was a nice secondary income source next to Adsense and Parked.com for my sites but not anymore. The latest YPN payment was so small I am so disturbed by it to reveal the amount.

Parked.com is top shelf -- Donny and his team are forward-thinking and conscientious --

The entire ad marketplace is deflating as advertisers cut budgets and spend less.

Less advertisers.

Big spenders, the category leaders, are just gone.

Sharper Image, Wickes Furniture, Levitz, Foot Locker, Linens & Things, Wilson’s Leather, Ann Taylor, Zales, Mervyn’s, Macy’s, Circuit City and a ton of other retailers are either shutting down entirely or closing lots of stores. And more on the way. All of these companies used to spend tons of money on paid search ads. Those budgets don’t exist any more.

It is best to leverage domains within stronger, popular markets -- mortgage relief, health insurance, credit scores, foreclosures, debt consolidation, etc -- follow the money --

Exactly. Advertising budgets that used to exist are either gone or have been decimated by many companies just trying to survive.

Diversify & Develop. As with the stock market, or any other investment strategy, you cannot rely on just one product or service for all of your income. For the moment, credit / loan / consolidation names are doing well for me, but only when developed. One of my better performers at the moment is a .net that I bought here for around $50. I spent another $50 for unique content, a couple of hours on a layout, and put it online. Now it makes $5-$10 a day. And I do nothing. I also have many other unique niche sites that perform well at certain times of the year (clothing & travel mostly). So when one area is down, hopefully another will pick up the slack.

Also keep in mind the changes in browsers & search engines. With auto correct spell features, and suggested searches provided by the major engines, type-ins will naturally drop. However, if developed, a quality generic name will easily outperform a non related name on the same subject. Domain parking is better than nothing, but always just a waypoint to a developed site for me, unless I bought the name specifically to flip it.

wow... calm down, everybuddy... do not turn this into a "gossip" war...

the good thing is, wolfs' issue is temporary solved by parked.com~

Good for him, and everyone should just be patient with parked.com, it will solve more problems... I think so, domainers earn money from parked.com, and parked.com earns from domainers' domains. We are demanding each other, we should talk peacefully ~~

All the best,

DNT.

Donny, optimization is a big issue I think..I just tried to simply edit a page title on a high traffic name that was dialed in with perfect keywords and poof, all gone and I did not touch the keywords..it totally changed every keyword and I could'nt get them back..months of optimization lost. This should definitely not be like this..we need to have the option to lock down keywords. The keywords showing in the control panel and that I chose are not even the same that are on the page...and the keywords that used to show up don't show up anymore...they are all different and wrong.

Something has definitely changed with the optimization system overall, I'm not sure who you have working on it but instead of pulling up the higher paying related and high search related keywords now it pulls up all kinds of random stuff..like what did you guys do?

For instance for pizza it is pulling up "snacks, grains, breakfast food, computing" ...it's gonna be a long night playing keyword shuffle.

Donny, if you have a solution please let us know, because I know I experience issues like this as well from time to time. It would be great if we could have a keyword inclusion tool, similar to what's available at DS...

*edit - I can't seem to locate my inclusion tool anymore at DS...

We are shooting for Monday on some major internal changes. It should definitely fix some problems and I'm sure cause a lot as well. So next week should be fun.

I noticed some delays when updating a keyword; e.g. internally the update is done but on the live site, hitting refresh took about 15 minutes to update different content and for the new keyword to appear. Seems that some caching is done at server level.

We have about 30 caching servers today. So if you hit a domain then changed the keyword that could possibly happen until the cache expires.
