I can't even see the whole issue with the name being 'overpriced'

What you'll pay for the name at DNF is very different from what someone else would pay.

Combine a buyer with deep pockets, and a seller with good negotiation skills, and a name can easily reach a much higher figure than its resale value.

Not all motivated buyers have to be end users. Some are just plain domainers who think there is an opportunity somewhere, others just like a particular name.

For instance, I sold a LN.com for 28k a few days ago. It wasn't bought by an end user; it was bought by just some guy who happened to own the .net and .org of that domain, and wanted to complete his 'collection'. He's not going to make a site out of it, at least not in the near future. He's just a rich guy who wants to make himself feel good by buying the .com, .net and .org of a name. Thats it.

The same thing in this sale. Buyer may have just wanted to complete his 'collection'

And even then, the name was no way overpriced. It would've reached 60k+ at Traffic very easily

I think he negotiates with weapons or something, he has some kind of trickery. LOL.

PM spam, and waste your time lowball offers are also one of his favorite obtuse weapons of choice, and that's precisely why I'm no longer a fan of his.

Everyone buys low and sells high. If they didn't the stock market in the US would not exist, right?

Yes, but only 2 members of this forum have PM spammed me. And no, I've never asked Larry Page to sell me his entire GOOG stock portfolio at $3 a share.

Is this a typo? You sold LN.com for 28k a couple days ago? Isn't that like a 300k-500k name?
