Sedo.com just made an announcement that they're taking offers on Sex.co. How much do you think it'll sell for?

More info here

My guesstimate is low $xxx,xxx

I estimate 20K-50K, no one knew or using .co anyway except the hard working domainers like us.

One of the main values of Sex.com is traffic. That is something Sex.co does not have.

For the most recent month Compete.com shows 211K visits for Sex.com and 220 for Sex.co, not all that impressive.
Also, the Alexa ranking is over 1M+ which is not very good.

Outside the .COM, here are the other two highest "Sex" sales -

Sex net $450,000 May 06 Moniker/Traffic
Sex info $202,000 Aug 07 Sedo Auction

I don't think it will meet either of those prices.

They are clearly just trying to ride the coattails of the .COM sale, but that sale really has no relevance on the value of Sex.co

Considering the useless country code extension, unless it's a complete idiot buying it, the name is unlikely to fetch more than $100k IMO.

High $xx,xxx at best. I think the novelty of .co is starting to wear off on a lot of people and with adult industry dying because of free tubes among other things and porn trending better than sex, lots of factors working against this name despite the .com just selling for 8 figures.

Forgetting no significant type ins, I've got to wonder how much traffic will be lost by fools who use this useless extension. I can imagine that anyone who gets it right cares deeply and has asked you 'CO WHAT?'

At least the .CO registry and the registrars got a bunch of money. From their perspective, it speaks well of the windfall that might come from the plethora of .whatever that is likely to come! 'A fool and his money...!'

Under $12.00 from my personal perspective and under $100K even for 'the fools'.

sure the .com owner can't want the .co ?

Why?? They're going to get much of any traffic the .co name develops anyway. And, develop, it will have to do!

I would think not more than 50K, as most people have already figured out, that the spill over traffic from .CO is not as big as expected.
