It simple if someone has made a higher offer via pm,why cant a mod confirm this ? it stops the bull***t what goes on !

I've seen a forum which allow member to bid using a bid system in the sales thread with the option to bid anonymous.
I don't think however that would stop shilling as the seller can always claim to get offer by email etc..

In the end it's only the seller that hurts himself. He scares away potential buyers by driving up prices and he harms his reputation as a seller.

Shilling is not as bad as the Boomerang being used today to inflate "public value". What you do is to pay, say $600,000 to your distant cousin at a visible and reported outlet, who will then receive the money, agree to provide another whois for an indefinite time, and pay you back that amount less a couple of beers. Boomeranging is exploding in the industry today, and raising bubble pressure to bursting points.

"Boomerang" and "Beers" sounds like the practice originated in Australia right Mate?

Sounds like a complete and utterly ridiculous and foolish business practice.
Not only would you be losing more than $125 a day in interest (even a financial novice can can make that type of interest on $600,000), you may also just find out that your distant cousin is now truly distant as they flee to some tropical destination with your loot.

Finally, someone still has to want your domain bad enough to pay the huge sum that you've tried to tout. And even with a prime, premium one-word domain there's no guarantee anyone will ever show any interest even close to the levels you need to make to recover all the interest you lost out on not to mention genuine investment opportunities along the way.
