Well somebody out there thinks domains worth $20 Canadian are worth paying a minimum of $60 US at pool.

If only I could 'drop' my $20 domains and get a piece of the auction action hype that pool seems to generate on some domains...

Something weird happened today for me at Sibername... Bidding ends at 12:45 PM correct? Maybe I'm wrong? I tried bidding at 12:42 till 12:45 and every time I tried to bid it gave me a message "Domain not available" ??

Can someone explain? I managed to get into pool auctions tho!

Very true and I don't agree at all with that logic though.. good for Pool and let them make thier money while others are willing to throw it away!!!!

It closes at 1.45 and not 12.45.. may be the daylight saving glitch or something with your computer clock.. too bad.. you had to get caught to the Pool auctions. I pity you, as you pay a premium for them!!!!

It depends on where in canada you are. It's 1:45 toronto time you have to adjust accordingly. But you also have to watch their server time. It seems to shift 3-4 minutes at regular intervals. I always update my computer clock before the drop and check sibername's time on their pages and adjust my timing.

Yes, It's 1.45 EST.. so depends where you are.. sorry about it and thanks for correcting me.

Nice idea about changing your computer clock. I have never been successful doing that.. there would be some lap anyhow!!!!

Yeah but its 12:45 PM my time as I'm from Saskatchewan, Canada... BUT I still received that message whenever I tried to bid on a name!!!

It cost me all of my domains... I had about 10 I was bidding on... Anyone ever get this message before?

Strange, never happened to me before and Sibername was working fine for me about that time today. Almost sounds like some kind of server or browser glitch. If it happened to me. I'd try logging out, closing browser (even new Internet connections, removing cookies, and try again. If that didn't work, maybe a different web browser too. I once got a weird error at namepro during the TBR, thought their server was down at first but then tried some of the above and was back in business.

Maybe since Sask doesn't use daylight savings time so you have to put in TBR's an hour earlier than everyone else

...sorry, couldn't resist having lived in Sask myself at one time.

However I noticed that Sibername got 78 domains yesterday and Pool got 135 domains in total, although they missed out on the day's TOP domain - at least in my sight - for the second week in a row!!!!

I checked back and the best we've done so far this year was 15 with them. But there has been a real upsurge in results since they changed their system a couple of months ago. We've done more than 23 domains in a day combining sibername and pool results but it seems a lot of what we ordered was unapposed?? That doesn't usually happen. Or maybe there were other orders at other places and sibername just beat them.

i forgot to input for tbr today gg me.

i got alot of blind offers this week for .ca and some .com. one guy made a first offer of 1k for icing .ca .. i like the name alot and think its worth more but i may accept in the morning. its a high scoring word for cake and the like but a great little brandable for sports.. hockey and lacrosse among others.

any thoughts ? should i let er go or should i hold it for future dev .? the offerers have a definate use for it.. will be good for .ca real estate as a whole. I've seen their other works.

It is fair. I'm certain I will accept. It just sucks when you like a domain and someone offers an honest buck for it.

If I kept it I wouldnt be able to dev it for at least a good year. It would be a waste for me to keep it. and heck, 1k goes far with me in purchases and server fee's.
