I think there are at least 3 plays on these.
First you have access to some of the top keywords in the search engines. These show up in Wordtrackers top 50 keyword searches under the term kids. Developed they can stand on their own, nevermind the type in stuff.
Second, I agree that the eventual owner of art.kids.us could have an interest in artkids.us just to pull traffic that might go astray.
Third, if the US registry does a sunrise pre-reg period, a developed site carrying artkids.us may have a shot at filing first.
For $6.95 you get to take a shot. Best new idea presented for a while here imho. Much better than a lot of the .coms and .nets I've been seeing on these threads lately offered for much higher costs.
