That link you provided doesn't say who reviewed those registrars, nor how many reviewed each one. It's not a "scientific" poll by any means.

Edit: removed unnecessary drivel.

Stuff, you're telling me you opened a ticket on a Saturday or Sunday and you actually heard back from them? Unless you are an ETP, I don't believe you.

Sorry to read what happened to you, KNichole. Although most domainers know
stolen domains as registered domain names being stolen from their original
owners, I guess you just see it differently in this case.

FYI, that's why those registrars have a limitation of liability exactly for this
kind of situation. Registrars themselves don't want it anymore than their end
users, but it does happen, although rarely.

Basically the only possible way to get it is thru legal means and nothing more.
Other than that, you can't really claim that "your" domain name was taken.

This happened to me once before too. It's probably one of the most annoying and frustrating things that can happen to you in your domaining years. I was able to get the domain I wanted back but had to pay the a few hundered $$$ :dead:

I'm not bashing Stargate, just telling what happened. There service
must have gotten better, because there was more than one occassion
where they did not respond to me for over a week. It was not my fault
that the domain was taken. There was a glitch in the system when I
ordered it. I was responded to 3 days later, then not responded to until
the name was taken. I thought the domain was registered to me and
trusted Stargate at the time. As many names as I had registered with
them, they should have cared enough to get on top of the problem
right away, which they didn't. I believe that someone at the company
took the name because it was registered a week later. May have just
been an employee, but it was wrong.

PS: Bashing *Enom* won't earn you kudos :smartass:

Thanks for responding to this post. Whatever happened, it was a bummer.
I'm sure it was not "your" fault personally. I really did enjoy Starate while
I had domains with you, so that just made the situation harder for me.

Forgive and Forget, although I am happy with enom these days!

Man, that must have sucked, getting that nice domain taken away from you. Maybe you can sue in small claims court if the have not refunded your money.
