Philbrick's own Web site can be found at www.philbrickssports.com. His suit against eNom is the latest front in a clash over the domain name, and has the potential to turn into a legal battle royale.

It seems to be a year-old case going by Justia:

Oddly, eNom filed against the same party:

It is unclear if eNom was both the registrant and registrar or only the registrar.

If they are only the registrar this will be a very interesting case.

Cases like that benefit the lawyers more than anybody else.

It's obvious Enom owns the name. They would have given up the buyer/owner long ago otherwise.

Why is this going to "court" instead of a WIPO hearing?

Unlike UDRP the courts can award monetary damages...

I read somewhere they offered to settle for $50k, but he refused saying it wouldn't even cover legal costs... so in court they are liable up to $100k under ACPA, and he may get a large sum on top of legal costs...
