Welcome Sean :)

where can I find Bido's recent sales?

Thank you!

A recent sales page has been asked for alot, so we almost have that completed. Right now users can see individual sales, but not all of them in one group. A single page will be deployed soon to show all sales. Once it is completed, I will post the link here.

Thanks!

Sean

It would be nice to see more info on the site about how it works.
What time of day the auction starts, and so on.

Right now its sunday morning 11:08AM PST, and it says the auction
for SpywareHelp.com ends in 4 minutes. I dont get this. It ends at 11:12AM?
Which is 2:12PM, Eastern time. These are odd ending times. It could be
focused on some other geo i guess but it seems odd.

Very well designed, attractive site. Good luck!

FYI, it crashes mozilla every time. Running a slightly older version, 1.7.12.
Have not tried it with newer versions.

So when is the start/end time for auctions? Do the auctions last 24 hours, or how long do they last?

You state that all domains have to be held by Moniker before they enter sale. Do you have an account there for them to be pushed to, or does a seller have to transfer the domain to Moniker prior to sale?

Hi Kevin,

Thanks for the question.

Each auction starts at 1:00PM EST and will end at 2:00PM EST. The only time the auction ends AFTER 2:00PM EST, is when a bid is placed in the last remaining minutes of the auction. When this happens, the time is extended up to 5 minutes. So, depending on how many extensions there are -- the end time can change.

We cannot predict the end time, but the start time will ALWAYS be 1:00PM EST.

Thanks!

Sean

Hi aZooZa,

Currently we are using a Moniker.com escrow account.

If a seller and Bido.com come to an agreement on a guarantee, and the seller completes everything needed in order for the domain to enter the Bido.com sale process (sign contract, etc), then it will be required that the seller pushes us the name.

Once the name is pushed, and then auctioned, we will take the money from the buyer and deposit it to the seller. Then the name is pushed to the buyer.

So in short, yes, the seller has to push the name to us first -- but there are contracts in place, etc in order to protect everyone who is involved during the process.

Thanks!

You might want to consider removing ajax or fix the bugs on mobile devices. I have full browser on my Mogul cell phone and also my Nokia 770 which I use on the road all the time. I have no problem making bids on many sites. As for bido, I couldn't log in from my Mogul cell phone because the "Continue" button is missing. I was able to login from my Nokia 770 but not able to place any bid. I see the ajax waiting icon loading but nothing happen afterward. You should look into those issues.

Thanks.

Hey Varchar,

Thanks for the feedback on this. I really appreciate it.

We are still brand new, so we are fixing things and adding things. I'm going to have my devs look at this and sort it out. I agree, mobile devices are important as more people are on the move today than ever.

Thanks again!

When will I know if my domains are accepted, how many days from submission date?
As seller, when do I get paid for sold domain?

Thanks for the question, Copper.

If your domains are accepted you will receive an email from one of our staff. Upon coming to an agreement on a price guarantee, we will work your domain in to our next available opening to be auctioned. It's purely on a first come-first served basis.

After the domain has sold, we will process the payment after we have collected funds from the buyer. In most cases, the buyer is required to remit payment within 10 days.

Let me know if there is anything else I can answer for you. Thanks again for the question!

Regards!

Sean

Mr. Shane Pillord, would it be possible to obtain the detailed break down of why a name is evaluated at X and whom this price was set by should it be acceptable to grace the bido platform.

Hello to you too, JP!! ;)

Names are eval'd by the Bido.com team as a whole. A guarantee will be placed on them by the team, and we will then speak with the domain owner. If both parties agree, then contracts are signed and we go to auction.

Thanks for the question!

Hi Sean!!
I wrote that article "Flip Domains Not Panckaes" and you helped me out a great deal with questions I had about some websites I wanted to sell. I am in love with Bido and I have one domain name that is going on in September so while I was looking around, I saw your name attached to Bido... suprise for me!!

Anyway, I just wanted to say hello and thank you again for your assistance in the past.
