you guys have some awesome rides: M3, CLK 430, STi, 300ZX

wow!

Haha, yes. 300ZX's are nice.

But I wouldn't call mine nice. Its old, and not in the best condition, but I still love it. :-D I'm actually looking to get another. Or a 280ZX.

I agree with you. It has lost all Mercedes class....some features
remind me of the batmobile.

First of all GT, that's shallow.

Second of all, I'm glad I can't relate to it. My girlfriend and
I love eachother, and that in itself, as I hope you'll have the
fortune to learn, is invaluable.

Third, it looks like a concept car in the early stage of development
(is it, actually?); and it doesn't do justice to Mercedes as a whole.
In my opinion, it looks like someone from Chrysler designed it.

man, you guys dont have much of a sense of humour...

IT WAS A JOKE...

The SLR looks amazing IMO, its not a concept anymore, it's on the market as we speak if you have a few hundred grand to spend...

As I said though, my favorite car of all time is the Saleen S7: http://www.gtrides.com/coupeso400.html

The S7 is one sick machine!

My baby is a 96 Alfa Romeo Spider, which is tons of fun. It's front wheel drive and only a 4 banger, but that makes it all the more fun to abuse, and it does alright in the twisties. The only problem is that in Germany I can go 220 kph if I want, but with the top down I can only get it up to 185 (115 mph).

The wife just ordered a new Mercedes E320 with EVERYTHING you could possibly imagine in it (I insisted on the SportFahrWerk option though...). It arrives in two weeks, which is great, because an old Beetle just ran into the old e-machine this past weekend. :-(

My driving test is on the 15th September. My mother's friend gave me a car for free, it's a white Renault 5. It's truely horrible, even has vomit stains on the back seats. :-D

Hm.. Sorry to both of you about the beetle.. and the renault in general.

I'm glad to hear someone mention "twisties." I can't wait to bring my 350z
along for a day of those! (or, who knows... depending on domains, it could
be one of the last air-cooled Porsche 911s.... Carrera 2S!

Wow there are a lot of young people here, I did not even know. Well I own 2 cars (one for work & one for the weekend)

The daily driver is a DODGE RAM SRT-10 and the weekend driver (which has turned in to the wife's daily driver .. how did that happen?) is a 2005 Corvette.

Yeah our dealership here has 2005's coming out of their uhhh lot, thats a nice way to put it I guess lol. We have had it for about 2 weeks ... great car. The truck is very nice but it takes me for about $100.00 in gas a WEEK! You have just got to love those California gas prices.

My 1 complaint about the vette ... I loved past years how the headlights folded out of the hood when turned on, now they are just set in behind glass, I think while it does look good it takes something away from the corvette.

I have a boring SUV, 4 years old. Paid for in full in cash when I bought it last year because it was cheap, I don't worry about dings, and it is cheap to fix and insure.

Wise women know what this means.... no desire for a flashy car = well endowed :)
