I am talking about a copy,as an idea per se. Not exactly identical. And send it to our own reps from the states we are in.

Excellent Adam!

Frame the domain re-direct with some adsense on it, at least make some money while you still can and then donate to lobbying against this bill :cheesy:

Any YouTube producer here?

Create a quick video message and upload to youtube? If is is good enough, it may be on CNN and all major TV channels!

We should lobby for a law that requires all bills to have RELEVANT titles and only have points in them relevant to the title.

Anti-Phishing bill - make it about ANTI-PHISHING not domain hijacking.

(BTW - if a store does this, I think it's called "false advertising"?)

Once we have all the facts which it seems we are getting now, I will bulk email all 60,000 members to sign the petition tomorrow.

I will make it very clear now that I am on side with the members here, the big players and registrars know exactly what's going on. Nobody will sit by and just let this happen without a hell of a fight.

"Let's get ready to rumble"

-=DCG=-

Any word on this Adam?

They should rename the Bill 'The nonsense Bill'. How the heck can they enforce this bill outside of the US? This is like a free ticket for the big boys to steal names from people legally.

There are more important Bills that needed to be introduced - Why bother with this one.

This is one of the reason I would never run for public office. God help us!

Perhaps this is a good reason to run for public office?
Some sensible people needs to be elected....
Since I'm outside US I can't do anything about it, but the bill affects us as much as anyone in the US, since the .com registry is in the US.
It that democratic???

It is not going to happen as I can't lie and repeat the same thing 2,000 times:

- Time for a change
- Better education for the children
- Universal insurance.....

I believe now is the time for all 'domain organizations" united to show the opposition to this Bill:
- All Forums owners - PM to members
- All registrars - Send email to account members and change the ads in commercial tv or magazine
- All Parking companies
- All online/off line domain magazines.

May be an organized rally at Washington DC is needed!

The sad thing is that we need smarter people in office but the average American is too gullible (dare I say stupid?) to not even look into what our politicians actually do.

Sure, we can shoot this down but then in the next election our competion would say "they voted against the anti-phishing law! They don't care about your safety!"

If I was in office I'd have a blog and use the HELL out of it.

F-it, maybe I should run for a local office and work my way up.

LANGUAGE WARNING::upset::upset::upset:

I'm sick of these uneducated ****ing assholes deciding how to run businesses when most of them can't do it themselves.

Smart people would not want to run for public office because they don't want to be blended with the existing clowns.

If any member of DNF wants to run for a seat/position in office and can help represent us all and knows what they are doing, I will GLADLY contribute heavily to your campaign fund!
