If the wholesale input price is zero (or thereabout), why have retail registration prices for .INFOs remained so high?

One obvious reason is the apparent lack of easily available information in terms of comparative registrar pricing. Let's do our bit to help remove this one.

Here is a starter for $ 2.88 - this is the price NameCheap has been charging for some time now for new .info registrations, but it also includes 1 free year of their WhoisGuard service.

Have you come across anything of comparable or better value?

Cheapest = Free (why I no longer buy .INFO domains unless they are really good)

Where are you getting free .info's?

Watch out for Aplus.net as they ripped off many domainers ($thousands)during the landrush by accepting paid pre-registrations and NEVER submitted 1 single registration.

Namecheap.com has .info for 2.88,its not the cheapest but it comes with a year of free whois guard. So it still makes it a great deal.

i agree about the namecheap domain registrar part for .info but please try and stay away from namecheap's whois guard. It does you no good, if anyone trys to get in touch with you it will not work! (potential buyers :) )

I don't think Registerfly is the cheapest but I think it is pretty good, $2.99.

I have never heard of this before, So would they just have to contact namecheap to get the information?
