I recommend Godaddy for the most part of your domains.
Only for high-value domains I recommend another registrar.
I fully agree but I'll also add in high-risk domains (if you're into TM / typo domains).
Is the 60 day transfer restriction on new or pushed names just a SlowDaddy thing or law? I just aquired a name that was pushed to Snap, I then transferred it to Fabulous. No 60 day crap?
60 days is ICANN policy - if a domain is registered or transferred to a registrar it is locked for 60 days (unless it is going to go back to the previous registrar) but I think GoDaddy takes it a little too far - update the information? Locked for 60 days. Change the DNS? Locked for 60 days.
I also find it odd that I sometimes get emails from Domaintools that the registrant information changed on some of my domains , yet it hasn't (everything stays the same). I check my GD account and the domain is still in there - is GD "changing" the information for me?
