Nice Acro, you beat out pills.tel ;)

I never said that .TEL domain info sites are SEO optimized :)

Also being so new, very few sites link to them yet, so they have no or low PR score, unlike your highly rated blog and web sites... For $11 to $15 a pop, I view .TEL as an experimental, inexpensive form of getting potential advertising exposure, with hosting fees prepaid to boot.

Come now Acro I know you want my shitty.tel. :eek:k:

I read your blog post about .tel being a potential gold mine for spammers/scammers so I'm going to test that out.

i won't take crap from someone who thought that "acroplex" was worth registering pre-general availability :)

Hmmm. Not sure if you're as stupid as you sound. Maybe you're more :D

After all, believing that Telnic will succumb to your "wet dream" of changing their business plan so that your worthless .tel domains become real domains 3-5 years in the future, sounds like a complete fool's gold.

Nitro4, I agree that is a large possibility...

And I think it's as possible as Jeb Bush becoming Florida's governor ever again.

Acro, you are way too bitter. Calm down and be more positive and optimistic. You probably didn't invest any money in this, so why are you so defensive about it? It seems like a .tel caught you in a dark alley one night and did unlawful things to you. Don't worry, I won't.tel

Here's how I see it... this company is backed by many millions of dollars. I don't see such a business allowing their large investment to crumble to the ground without at least attempting to fix it. And what Nitro4 said would be their last resort of attempting to resolve their worthless TLD. Hence, the chances of it happening after they have failed may be higher than you expect.

Me, bitter?

Why, because I am not a lemming from Telsters? :D

Or did you start this thread to promote your .tel domains? After all, you are openly advertising them in a non-sale thread.

Now, in case you missed the memo, .tel domains are the way they are and that's not going to change, because when the Telnic registry received approval from ICANN, that's for the exact functionality that they applied for. Nothing can change - unless ICANN approves it.

Before you tie your panties in a knot, think: what can you do with a one page .tel that cannot display your logo, other images, can't be hosted and behaves unlike other domains?

I suggest instead of evangelizing more Telnic propaganda to the clueless ones, to use some common sense about what constitutes a solid investment and what doesn't.

I've heard the same exact phrases when .mobi started...

It's funny how people follow the propaganda.

.TEL = CRAP

one day--far, far, in the distant future (3-5 years from now)--these domains will likely be switched over to regular tlds (once people start dropping them due to their utter worthlessness.) if such a time comes, my .tel, along with cee's, and some of your guys' (except for cun.tel ?? lol) will be worth a lot due to the brandability and applicability of the .tel tld.

i say this because of the inevitable future of mobile computing and of the future of cell phone technology (and access). believe me, ."tel" couldn't be any more relative or trendy... it's just a matter of waiting a few years for mobile technology to advance and for telnic to realize their current strategy = fail.

dammit cun.tel :( lool
I also registered dun.tel today...don't ask me why...i just like the names :D

as for selling high price...hopefully soon but I know it won't happen anytime soon or in the future as the business plan is pretty crappy atm.

I registered cun.tel and dun.tel to show off to my real life freinds that doesn't know a crap about domain and show them I have really short domain names :) *they are all jealous*

Cee, hence lies the problem. If you personally don't care if it's a solid investment and have money to burn, let this be your prerogative. But to invite others, less well-off fellows to join in and get burned, that's almost criminal.

The same story was repeated with .mobi and .asia. Maybe some folks need a third time to seal the charm.
