Acro, I'm not misleading anyone down a fantasy. I'm simply stating possibilities and allowing people to make their own decisions. If someone else wants to spend $10/yr on a nifty name and they can afford it, I provide them with some possibilities of it becoming more in the future. Not that this possibility should be the reason for them registering.

As I just mentioned, I will be dropping all the domains under "----- Domains Letting Go -----" in the first post of this thread. If you're interested in any, I'll PM you the moment I delete them and you can grab whatever you want.
Enough investments for me in .tel...
cun.tel and dun.tel was purely a joke to fool my friends to convince them I have 1337 names :)

Done with .tel. Unless I see some other people registering...theres tons of lll.tel still available.

If you don't mind me asking, what else did you get?

Also, if anyone else has got some good .tel domains, let us know! I'm curious to see what else people registered.

tape dot tel
playmate dot tel :-#:

How is "playmate" - a registered tm - "nice"?

That's the problem with a "free for all" - people start registering domains without thinking.

Playmate could also probably be used for some sort of phone sex line.

That's a naive statement. Go to http://uspto.gov and search for "playmate". It's a Playboy trademark in several formats.

But I am not surprised; the same mistakes were made with every new era TLD launch, that nowadays involves keyword hawking & auctioning by the registry (Telnic claims they didn't do that), mass promotion and followship that resembles a cult.

I doubt that you can say "it could be done" and get away with it. Are you condoning the act but not the consequences?

That's the kind of carrot bait that domain newbies fall for. Instead of educating newcomers to the scene, they are allowed to perceive the domain field as a wild west; a free-for-all fest.

Playmate.tel should not have been registered, period.

I had a funny argument with Justin from TelNic at my twitter feed today. He seemed to be upset by my statement that TelNic forced trademark holders to pay $125 per year with 3 years down! But that's the fact. No other TLD launch before .tel that I'm aware of did this. Justin's counter-argument was that TelNic didn't hawk premium domains to auction in the future. That's questionable, but even if that's the case that's no valid response to my argument about scalping tm holders at sunrise.

...some good .tel domains
The more I see some of the domains on here the more I ask myself, that is good???

It boils down to someone's interpretation.

The only .tel I got and the only I will ever get was K9s.tel.

It will tie into K9s.mobi and a K9s Twitter account.

This is purely as a business venture of linking dog rescue leagues across the country. Yeah, another one of my massive projects and undertakings that I do not have time for but jumped in to it anyways.

Hehe. Acro, you are a rather funny individual. I'll give you that.

I was making light of the fact that people tend to break the law more willingly on the Web, as if it is less of an offense, e.g.: downloading pirated music, software, etc. I've seen plenty of unlawful registrations being commercialized and profited from. While they don't last long, it doesn't mean that they don't happen. I just think you are making everything related to .tel a little too personal. I'm here to argue that this is the way of the world, not the .tel era.

I am funny indeed, but not when it comes down to the situation I've explained already.

This thread is about .tel, correct? That's why my focus is on .tel
It's nothing personal, nothing biased. I've analyzed my position on .tel at my blog, in 5 long posts. Some people get it, some don't. I am not holding your wallet shut, spend it all on .tel if you want.

Yes playmate is a playboy trademark why would you do that?
That's stupid...
Reg something like phonesex.tel or something if you want something like that
playmate is just stupid
I reg cun.tel and dun.tel which has no trademark issues w.e.
Should reg non trademark domains.....tel isn't even gonna sell that high if you want to try to hog it .

To o/p
rep.tel was your best one, you shouldn't have dropped that
i actually checked after you said you dropped them as would have nailed that even though i don't like this extension , but i do think short 3 letter words that are also peoples initials 'may' be reasonably desirable, again only maybe low xxx reseller as individuals are not gonna pay much for a contact page

also i would have took 'kit' being a 1980's nightrider fan

anyone know if .tel are resellable as my registrar has no grace period. Have kpu.tel. Think its possible to sell to kwantlan p university or kpu telecommunications or it would cause more trouble than its worth?
