.com might have dropped over the years, but .net has stayed or risen.

toonz is a pro. everyone and there mother is after this name though. i have 3 arrows pointed at it myself, and still i don't have much of a prayer. i think dropking probably has the best chance of the "Western Hemisphere" drop catchers

Well I only have one arrow pointed at it, but it’s a very sharp one…manual reg over at BulkReg ;)

So Toonz, MikeMike, Ultsearch etc, you newbies may as well sleep through the drop tomorrow and let a pro show you how it’s done. Nuff said :D

i will pay someone $10 to just sit and try to manual reg for a few hours when it is drop time. that's the equivalent of having the expirefish on it :D

Thanks for the update whois-search.

Wow, bidding at NameWinner for AD.NET at $101,580! Is this a real bid?

You're all out of luck if you're hoping to grab a two-letter domain that expires... the current ICANN agreement has a provision that all two letter domains are reserved (as they are in new TLDs) unless they are specially released upon convincing the relevant authorities that there is no confusion potential with country codes. Existing registrations are grandfathered, including their renewals, but if any two-letter name drops, it would become reserved from that point forward.

Well, golly gee wiz.

Guess I have not caught any 2 character names after all... NOT.

Wishful thinking, Dan. Resourceful, but incorrect conclusion.

I bagged NJ.net in July of '01
bi.net a bit later...
qu.com a few months ago,
and at least a dozen alpha/numeric 2 character names in the last 8 months.
NONE of which went through any process other than the normal drop
